Fantasy Football Injury Updates

Cooper Kupp (foot) expected to play Week 6 vs. Panthers

Rams’ WR Cooper Kupp (foot), listed as questionable, is expected to play in Week 6 against the Panthers, according to ESPN NFL insider Adam Schefter. (Source: Adam Schefter on Twitter)

Fantasy Impact: Kupp popped up on the injury report this week, but it never really felt like he was in any danger of missing this matchup against the Panthers. The one concern was that the Rams have a bye in Week 7 and could opt to rest Kupp in a game they should win. As long as he’s active, Kupp needs to be in every lineup. Through five games, he has caught 49 of his 64 targets for 527 yards and four touchdowns and seems to be the only part of this Rams offense that isn’t broken.

CeeDee Lamb (hip) expected to play Week 6 vs. Eagles

CeeDee Lamb is expected to play on Sunday night against Philadelphia despite carrying the questionable tag according to NFL Network’s Ian Rapoport. (Source: Ian Rapoport on Twitter)

Fantasy Impact: Lamb was a late-week addition to the injury report on Friday but should start and see his usual amount of targets against a tough Philly defense. Lamb is the clear WR1 in Dallas, averaging 10 targets a game thru five weeks, and hasn’t gone for less than five catches and 53 yards since Week 1 when he still saw 11 targets. It’s always tricky waiting until Sunday Night Football for a questionable player but he appears good to go so fire him up in your lineups.

Tyler Higbee (ankle) expected to play Week 6

Rams’ WR Cooper Kupp (foot) and TE Tyler Higbee (ankle), both listed as questionable for Sunday, are expected to play vs. the Panthers, according to ESPN NFL insider Adam Schefter. (Source: Adam Schefter on Twitter)

Fantasy Impact: Rams HC Sean McVay indicated Friday that while Higbee was being listed as questionable, he should play Sunday against the Panthers. Higbee hasn’t scored a touchdown in 2022 but has otherwise been consistent, catching 33 of his 48 targets for 290 yards.

Dak Prescott (thumb) will not play Week 6 vs. Eagles

Dak Prescott will not suit up against Philadelphia and is not a sure thing to practice in Week 7 according to NFL Network’s Ian Rapoport. (Source: Ian Rapoport on Twitter)

Fantasy Impact: Despite the rumors out of “Big D” to the contrary, Prescott will not suit up for Week 6 and must continue to improve before being cleared to practice on Wednesday. A Week 7 return has always appeared to be the goal for Prescott but he still has work to do in his recovery to make that a reality. Cooper Rush, who is 4-0 filling in as a starter this season, will remain under center on Sunday night. Rush has tossed four touchdown passes since taking over for the injured Prescott and has yet to throw an interception this season in 118 pass attempts.
