Fantasy Football Injury Updates
Rashod Bateman out for second week in a row
According to PFF’s Ari Meirov, WR Rashod Bateman will miss his second game of the season as he deals with a foot injury. (Source: Ari Meirov on Twitter)
Fantasy Impact: Bateman was absent from practice and will not play again. In his absence, the Baltimore Ravens have relied on WR Devin Duvernay and TE Mark Andrews in the passing game. Duvernay has had a breakout season so far and carries flex appeal against the New York Giants. Andrews is always a starting TE.
According to Ari Meirov of PFF, TE Pat Freiermuth will be out for Week 6 for the Pittsburgh Steelers. (Source: Ari Meirov on Twitter)
Fantasy Impact: Freiermuth is dealing with a concussion he suffered in Week 5. Zach Gentry appeared to take his place afterward, catching five passes, but after a 3-point outing against the Buffalo Bills, it’s hard to have confidence in Gentry and rookie QB Kenny Pickett against the Tampa Bay Buccaneers’ defense.
Tee Higgins deemed questionable for Week 6
According to ESPN’s Ben Baby, the Cincinnati Bengals have listed WR Tee Higgins as questionable for Week 6. (Source: Ben Baby on Twitter)
Fantasy Impact: Higgins didn’t record a single stat before leaving the game in Week 5 with an ankle injury. Higgins didn’t practice all week but was limited on Friday. His situation needs to be closely monitored as he has played injured all season and could be unpredictable on his status this Sunday. Without Higgins this season, though, the Bengals’ passing weapons have seemed to struggle.
Cooper Kupp listed as questionable for Week 6
Cooper Kupp (foot) is officially listed as questionable to play Sunday against Carolina. (Source: Sarah Barshop on Twitter)
Fantasy Impact: Kupp did not practice Wednesday, but was able to return to practice Thursday. The star wide receiver is dealing with a foot injury, but head coach Sean McVay expects Kupp to suit up for Week 6. Kupp is currently the WR1 in ECR, according to FantasyPros. As long he suits up, he should be locked into fantasy lineups.
