Allen Lazard, in terms of fantasy hype, was the main beneficiary of Davante Adams leaving Green Bay this off-season. Because of this, his ADP continued to rise in drafts leading up to the season as the WR1 for Aaron Rodgers. However, fantasy managers were left disappointed when Lazard had to sit out Week 1 with an ankle injury. With the Packers receiving corps looking the way it did against the Vikings, which wasn’t too good, Rodgers would love to get a familiar face back as his No. 1 target in Lazard. Fantasy Impact
Lazard has now logged practices on consecutive days for the Packers and continues to trend in the right direction in preparation for a Sunday night matchup against the Chicago Bears in Week 2. Lazard immediately slots into the WR1 slot for the Packers if able to play in a game QB Aaron Rodgers should target the veteran early and often as the head of an otherwise inexperienced group of pass-catchers. They haven’t told us if this is of the high ankle or low ankle variety. High ankle usually means two to four weeks for a WR, and a low ankle usually is closer to one to two.
