Fantasy Football Injury Updates

Justin Herbert questionable to play in Week 3

QB Justin Herbert is being officially listed as questionable for Week 3 against the Jacksonville Jaguars following a Week 2 injury on Thursday night. (Source: Los Angeles Chargers on Twitter)

Fantasy Impact: Herbert was reported to not be throwing during open-to-media practice on Friday, and following the news, sportsbooks everywhere dropped the Chargers down nearly four points on the spread. QB Chase Daniel received first-team reps on Friday, but even against what may seem like an exploitable matchup in Jacksonville, all the Chargers receiving weapons will likely take a downgrade if Herbert’s out. Besides, the Jaguars have only allowed 28 points all season. RB Austin Ekeler could prove to be an important player in Week 3 regardless of who starts or what the game plan is.

Alvin Kamara listed as questionable for Sunday

According to Rod Walker of The Times-Picayune, the New Orleans Saints have listed RB Alvin Kamara as questionable for Week 3. (Source: Rod Walker on Twitter)

Fantasy Impact: Kamara was a limited participant in practice all week after missing Week 2’s game against the Buccaneers. In Kamara’s absence, RB Mark Ingram II got the start and likely would again if Kamara misses. But if Kamara plays, he’s an automatic start versus a Carolina Panthers defense that has allowed 140-plus yards to RB Nick Chubb and 70-plus yards to RB Saquon Barkley.

Gabe Davis questionable headed into Week 3

Fantasy Impact: Davis’ absence in Week 2 meant WR Stefon Diggs had an out-of-mind performance. Diggs will receive an obvious upgrade if Davis misses time, but if Davis plays, he is always a threat for big plays and touchdowns paired alongside QB Josh Allen. His situation needs to be monitored, and he has been limited all week at practice, but if he plays, then he is a strong start option.

Chris Godwin (hamstring) ruled out for Week 3

Chris Godwin (hamstring) has officially been ruled out for Week 3 against Green Bay. (Source: Field Yates on Twitter )

Fantasy Impact: Godwin did not log any practice time this week as he continues to recover from a hamstring injury he suffered in Week 1. With Mike Evans suspended and Julio Jones’ status in question, look for the Bucs to target Scotty Miller, Russell Gage, and Breshad Perriman in Week 3.
