Fantasy Football Injury Updates

Dalton Schultz (knee) to test his knee ahead of the Cowboys game Monday night

Dalton Schultz (knee) reportedly traveled with the team for the Cowboys MNF matchup against the Giants, he is planning on testing his knee before his status is made clear. (Source: Tom Pelissero on twitter)

Fantasy Impact: Schultz is looking more like he will be doubtful to play than a true questionable, but the tight end will try to push through and see if he can make it on the field anyway. The Cowboys’ tight end was reported to be likely to miss Monday earlier this weekend so hopefully, managers have already made a pivot previously and are not relying on Schultz to win them their fantasy matchup. If the 26-year-old is unable to go it will be Jake Ferguson and Peyton Hendershot that will receive the majority of the tight end targets.

Michael Gallup (knee) is an expected inactive for the Cowboys’ Monday night game

Per Tom Pelissero on Twitter Cowboys, WR Michael Gallup (knee) is set to be an expected inactive for the team tonight as they take on the Giants. (Source: Tom Pelissero on twitter)

Fantasy Impact: Gallup owners will need to wait another week for the wideout’s to return from knee constructive surgery as he is set to be inactive again Monday night. The Cowboys WR has yet to play in 2022 and with Dalton Schultz likely to be out as well Monday the team will likely lean heavily on CeeDee Lamb to get things done.

D’Andre Swift suffers sprained shoulder in Lions loss Sunday

D’Andre Swift reportedly suffered a sprained shoulder in the Lions’ loss to the Vikings on Sunday and per Tom Pelissero on Twitter, the injury is not expected to need surgery, however, he may miss some time. (Source: Tom Pelissero on twitter)

Fantasy Impact: Swift had a rather subpar fantasy line coming out of the Lions’ Week 3 matchup against the Vikings, it is now more clear that the Lions were just taking the cautious approach with their star back. The 23-year-old may miss some time now with the shoulder injury, thankfully he will not need a surgery to repair his shoulder, he did also re-injure his ankle in the process so managers should monitor his practice reports this week. If the Georgia product is a no-go it will be Jamaal Williams receiving the bulk of the work, which would launch Williams into the RB3/Flex range.

Michael Thomas’s (toe) injury is likely not serious

Michael Thomas’ toe injury does not appear to be serious. He will undergo additional tests Monday. (Source: Ian Rapoport on Twitter)

Fantasy Impact: We’ll have a clearer idea of the severity of the injury today, but the initial diagnosis looks promising. This toe injury is not on the same foot as Thomas’s ankle injury from last season. He’s had a solid start to the season with 16 receptions, 171 yards, and 3 TDs.
