Fantasy Football Injury Updates

James Conner’s injury not considered serious or long-term

James Conner left Sunday’s game against the Raiders with an ankle injury. However, it is not considered “serious,” and Conner should not miss an extended period of time. (Source: Ian Rapoport on Twitter)

Fantasy Impact: After the injury, Conner remained on the sidelines in his uniform instead of going to the locker room, which could be a positive sign. Before leaving the game, “The Terminator” ran for just 25 yards on seven attempts. Conner has gotten off to a slow start this season but should find his rhythm soon. Through two games this season, he has just 51 yards and a touchdown while averaging just three yards per carry. If Conner does miss next week’s game against the Rams, fifth-year backup Darrel Williams will get the starting nod.

Dalton Schultz (knee) has PCL issue in right knee

Fantasy Impact: This is the same injury that bothered Ezekiel Elliott for most of last season. The silver lining here is wasn’t his ACL or a more serious injury. It’s unknown how much, if any, time he will miss. However, if Schultz is forced to miss any time, Jake Ferguson and Peyton Hendershot would look to fill the void left at TE.

Gabriel Davis officially inactive for Monday Night Football

Bills WR Gabriel Davis is officially inactive for the team’s Week 2 matchup with the Tennessee Titans on Monday Night Football due to an ankle injury. (Source: NFL.com)

Fantasy Impact: Davis was a late addition to the injury report after suffering an ankle sprain in practice. He attempted to give it a go but just isn’t ready. With Davis out, Isaiah McKenzie and Jamison Crowder figure to see increased snaps and targets.

Tyrion Davis-Price suffers high-ankle sprain

Fantasy Impact: This is usually an injury that can sideline a player for up to a month or a little longer. Davis-Price saw 14 carries against the Seahawks in Week 2. This should open up the door for undrafted rookie free agent Jordan Mason to see an opportunity behind Jeff Wilson Jr. It also could lead to some more carries for Deebo Samuel.
