Fantasy Football Injury Updates

Brian Robinson placed on reserve/non-football injury list Thursday

The Commanders placed Brian Robinson the the reserve/non-football injury list Thursday. He will miss at least the first four weeks of the season. (Source: Ian Rapoport on Twitter)

Fantasy Impact: The move was to be expected based on the injuries he sustained while being the victim of a robbery. This move allows the Commanders to fill his spot on the roster and gives Robinson time to recover. Based on the timeline given over the last few days, there is a chance the rookie running back is ready by Week 5.

N’Keal Harry (ankle) placed on IR

N’Keal Harry (ankle) has been placed on IR. He will miss at least the first four games of the season. (Source: Bears Communications on Twitter)

Fantasy Impact: This isn’t a surprising move as Harry is still making his way back from surgery to address a high ankle sprain. Even though he’ll miss some time, Harry should still get a chance to establish a role in the Bears’ passing game once he returns. After Darnell Mooney, he will be competing with Equanimeous St. Brown, Byron Pringle, and Velus Jones Jr. for targets at WR.

Harold Landry tears ACL on Wednesday

According to ESPN’s Adam Schefter, Tennessee Titans edge rusher Harold Landry tore his ACL on Wednesday and will be out for the season. (Source: Adam Schefter on Twitter)

Fantasy Impact: Landry made the Pro Bowl last year with a 12-sack season and was paid handsomely for it in the offseason. The Titans aimed to keep the pair of him and edge rusher Bud Dupree, but this will force young defensive players like Rashad Weaver to step up. The Titans DST is currently going on average as the DST20, but there isn’t a lot of upside with the unit right now.

Tyquan Thornton lands on IR Thursday

The Patriots placed Tyquan Thornton on IR Thursday. He will miss a minimum of four games. (Source: Field Yates on Twitter)

Fantasy Impact: Thornton underwent surgery on his fractured clavicle recently, so this move was not a surprise. His recovery time is 6-8 weeks, so Week 4 is a possibility depending on his healing and rehab. He will most likely be the field stretcher in the Patriots offense when he returns.
