It’s a big Tuesday night main MLB DFS slate at DraftKings and FanDuel, featuring 12 games. The action starts at 7:05 pm ET. Since it’s a vast slate, the suggested pitchers, stacks, studs and values/punts are curated to fit the slate size.
Tuesday's Starting Pitcher Strategy
The pitching options are bursting at the seams. Yet, one ace is a cut above the rest. But, then, it's a logjam for the three pitchers behind him on the table, with salary weighing heavily in the order they were listed.

Cash Game Recommendations:
Aaron Nola (PHI) at ARI
Nola has had a great 2022 campaign. However, he's been at his best in enemy territory. According to FanGraphs, in 84.1 innings on the road, Nola has had a 2.13 ERA, 2.77 xFIP, 0.92 WHIP, 3.1 BB% and 29.1 K% this season.
The Diamondbacks aren't likely to put up much of a fight against Philadelphia's ace. Arizona is tied for 23rd in wRC+ (93) against right-handed pitchers this year. Moreover, they've stumbled at home, ranking 26th in wRC+ (90) in home games. As a result, Nola is an elite pick in all game types. Finally, according to Betting Pros, the Phillies are -130, and the game's total is a pitcher-friendly 7.5 runs.
George Kirby (SEA) at DET
Kirby offers gamers a lot of bang for their buck, making him an excellent SP2 in all game types on DK. Further, he's a great selection in all game types on FD. Kirby is excelling in his rookie year and in a groove lately. In his previous eight starts spanning 44.2 innings, Kirby has had a 2.42 ERA, 2.76 SIERA, 1.16 WHIP, 3.2 BB%, 28.6 K% and 27.2 CSW%.
Additionally, he has a mouthwatering matchup tonight. The Tigers are dead last in wRC+ (72) against righties, adding an exploitable 25.1 K% for good measure. So, Kirby should carve them up tonight, and the betting info agrees. The Mariners are -175, and the game's total is only 7.5 runs.
GPP Recommendations:
Max Fried (ATL) vs. COL
First, Fried is a massive favorite at home. The Braves are -365. So, obviously, that's an ideal starting point. Second, facing the Rockies away from Coors Field is a treat. Colorado is tied for 28th in wRC+ (78) in road games in 2022.
But, of course, Fried has pitched well, too. He's been sensational lately, twirling a 2.14 ERA, 3.42 xFIP, 0.98 WHIP, 4.3 BB% and 20.7 K% in his last nine starts that lasted 59.0 innings. Therefore, Fried is a great bet to tie up the Rockies tonight.
Brady Singer (KC) at CWS
Singer has been making pitching look easy lately. In his last 10 starts totaling 63.0 innings, he's had a sparkling 2.14 ERA, 3.11 SIERA, 1.08 WHIP, 7.7 BB%, 28.7 K% and 30.9 CSW%.
The young righty has a decent matchup tonight. The White Sox are tied for 20th in wRC+ (95) against righties this season. Still, the Pale Hose have been better lately, owning a 104 wRC+ since the MLB trade deadline on August 2. Thus, there's a risk to using Singer.
Sadly, the Royals are +115. So, Singer is also an underdog. Nevertheless, Singer has the upside gamers should covet in GPPs, making him a tantalizing selection in tourneys.
Top Lineup Stacks
The Brewers have been a force to be reckoned with at home, ranking tied for eighth in wRC+ (110) in home games this year. Unfortunately, they don't have the cushiest matchup since Mitch Keller has turned the corner. Regardless, his 3.56 ERA and 3.76 xFIP in his last nine starts have been more good than great. Additionally, Pittsburgh's bullpen is a bottom-five unit. Therefore, the Brewers have desirable GPP upside.
- Home (Truist Park)
- Value: Low
- Risk: Low
- Game Type: Both
- Game Total/Moneyline: 8.5 Runs/ATL -365
The Braves have a dreamy matchup tonight. Jose Urena doesn't belong in a big-league rotation, evidenced by his 5.98 ERA and 5.54 xERA in 58.2 innings this year. Urena would have a difficult time against any offense, and the Braves are a top-10 offense against righties. They're also a top-10 offense in wRC+ (110) at home. So, everything comes up roses for the host Braves tonight.
- Road (Globe Life Field)
- Value: Medium
- Risk: Medium
- Game Type: GPP
- Game Total/Moneyline: 7.5 Runs/HOU -180
The Astros have a mediocre matchup against Dane Dunning and the Rangers' slightly above-average bullpen. Fortunately, Houston has a top-shelf offense. The Astros are seventh in wRC+ (111) against righties and eighth in wRC+ (106) on the road. Houston's high-octane offense is worth a gamble in tournaments tonight.
- Matt Olson has ripped at home with the platoon advantage in his first year with the Braves. In 198 plate appearances against righties in Atlanta, he's slugged 11 homers with a .354 OBP, .266 ISO and 138 wRC+.
- Alex Bregman has been healthy and white-hot. In 190 plate appearances since July 8, he's mashed 10 taters with a .389 OBP, .281 ISO and 180 wRC+.
- Michael Harris has hit the ground running in his rookie campaign. Through 312 plate appearances, he's had 13 homers, 15 stolen bases, a .343 OBP, .219 ISO and 136 wRC+.
- Kolten Wong has had a .345 OBP, .194 ISO and 120 wRC+ against righties since 2021.
- Rowdy Tellez left yesterday's game early with right knee discomfort. If the move was precautionary, and he's back in the lineup tonight, he's an excellent selection with the platoon advantage against Keller. In 228 plate appearances against righties at home since the Brewers acquired him last year, Tellez has had a .294 ISO and 135 wRC+.
- Max Kepler has had a 110 wRC+ against righties since last year. Meanwhile, Kutter Crawford has been crushed by lefties for a .584 slugging and .397 wOBA in his rookie year.
Tuesday's Hitter Strategy
The Braves are the only offense to fall head over heels in love with tonight. However, the Brewers and Astros are high-upside stacks for GPPs.
