Fantasy Football Injury Updates
Miles Sanders (hamstring) doesn’t play in final preseason game
Miles Sanders, who has not practiced for the last couple of weeks while nursing a minor hamstring injury, did not play in the team’s final preseason game against the Dolphins on Saturday.
Fantasy Impact: Even if he were 100%, Sanders likely would not have played on Saturday. While the hamstring injury—and the young running back’s recent history of lower body injuries—are somewhat concerning, he is expected to be ready for the start of the season. He is expected to remain the lead back in Philadelphia, but fantasy managers should not be surprised to see him sharing touches and snaps with Boston Scott and Kenneth Gainwell.
Bisi Johnson suffers torn ACL Saturday
Bisi Johnson was feared to have suffered a torn ACL in Saturday’s preseason game. An MRI on Sunday confirmed the tear, ending Johnson’s season. (Source: Ian Rapoport on Twitter)
Fantasy Impact: A tough break for Johnson who has now torn his ACL in both knees over the last two seasons. Johnson was praised heavily in camp by new head coach Kevin O’Connell as he seemed to be a player that would factor into the offense this year. The 25-year-old is scheduled to be a free agent in the offseason.
Brian Robinson Jr. in stable condition after suffering gunshot wounds

Fantasy Impact: This story is developing, but at least we know that Robinson is safe. He seems likely to miss time in the regular season as he recovers, and in his absence Antonio Gibson should see a boost in playing time. In a situation like this, football is secondary to Robinson’s health.
Tyrod Taylor (back) leaves preseason game against Jets, should be OK
Tyrod Taylor left the game on Sunday after sustaining a hard hit on a 25-yard completion to Daniel Bellinger. Taylor managed to jog off the field but was taken into the locker room on a cart for further evaluation. After the game, HC Brian Daboll indicated that Taylor is expected to be OK. Fantasy Impact: The Giants signed Taylor to a 2-year, $11M contract to back up incumbent starter Daniel Jones. Taylor has a chance to potentially see playing time throughout the season as Jones has missed eight games in the past two seasons and has generally struggled as a starter. However, Taylor has also dealt with his fair share of injuries and missed six games last season with the Texans.
