Tee Higgins is a ‘full go’ for training camp

According to the Enquirer’s Charlie Goldsmith, Tee Higgins will be a ‘full go’ in training camp despite having offseason shoulder surgery back in April. (Source: Charlie Goldsmith on Twitter)

Fantasy Impact: Higgins is coming off a great sophomore campaign where he totaled 74 receptions, 1091 yards, and six touchdowns in 14 games played. Knowing that he will be a full participant should give fantasy owners the confidence to be drafted as a back-end WR1. Entering year three and running alongside Ja’Marr Chase in a Joe Burrow-led offense, Higgins is primed to have another solid year, especially if he can take the next step in his development.

Fantasy Impact: The 29-year-old wide receiver missed all of 2021, but before that, he had tallied 510 receptions for 5,950 yards and 32 touchdowns. Thomas’ return presents an interesting quandary for fantasy managers as his draft ranking may swing from “potential sleeper” to “potential bust” in a matter of days. Though he seemed to have a down year, his underlying metrics in 2020 were still solid, and he will boost Jameis Winston’s value. It’s essential to keep in mind that MT’s most productive seasons came with Drew Brees at the helm, but his return should be encouraging for everyone who rosters him because of the potential.

Fantasy Impact: The Saints expect Winston to make a full recovery and be 100% for Week 1. The former Heisman winner and No. 1 overall NFL draft pick was playing some of his best football last season prior to the injury. Through the first seven weeks the Saints were 5-2, with Winston throwing 14 touchdowns and just three interceptions. When healthy, Winston has is a sure-lock QB2 with QB1 upside. While the Saints have a new head coach in Dennis Allen, the play calling shouldn’t change much with Pete Carmichael still the team’s offensive coordinator.

Fantasy Impact: It looks like Washington will take things a bit slower with Gibson compared to the rest of their running backs. He suffered a hamstring injury during OTA’s that was considered minor, so this is most likely a precaution and he won’t be too limited for too long. Gibson will remain the highest drafted Commanders RB, but talk of a lesser workload should give more value to guys like JD McKissic and Brian Robinson.
