Saquon Barkley looks healthy throughout camp
Giants RB Saquon Barkley has looked healthy and sharp throughout training camp so far, per Peter King. (Source: Peter King)
Fantasy Impact: Barkley had a rough season last year, not looking like himself after suffering a torn ACL the year prior. The way the reports sound out of New York, he may finally be healthy and ready to go for the upcoming season. If this is the case, and he’s truly 100% next season, he is almost certainly a steal at his current ADP.
Robert Woods hopes to be ready for Week 1

Fantasy Impact: Woods is dealing with the recovery from a torn ACL he sustained last season, and it’s up in the air whether or not he’ll be ready to go for Week 1. This news does offer some optimism, but it’s far from anything concrete. If he is ready to go at the start of the season, that will mean good things for Ryan Tannehill and the Titans offense as a whole.
Sammy Watkins (hamstring) will practice Friday
Packers WR Sammy Watkins will be activated off the NFI list and will practice Friday. (Source: Rob Demovsky on Twitter)
Fantasy Impact: Watkins has been dealing with a hamstring injury for most of this off-season, but it seems like he may finally be healthy and ready to go. The WR1 spot on this team is wide open after the departure of Davante Adams, and while Allen Lazard is currently favored to take that role, Watkins should still soak up many of those vacated targets, assuming he can stay healthy.
Chase Claypool dealing with shoulder injury
Chase Claypool suffered a shoulder injury at Friday’s practice and will be evaluated to determine the extent of the injury as reported by ESPN’s Brooke Pryor. (Source: Brooke Pryor on Twitter)
Fantasy Impact: Steelers head coach Mike Tomlin said after practice Friday that Claypool’s injury was “probably not serious” and the team doesn’t have a “high level of concern” at this point. For now, it appears Claypool and the Steelers dodged a bullet and he has avoided a serious injury. Claypool finished last season with 59 catches for 860 receiving yards, similar to his 2020 numbers of 62 receptions for 873. His big regression was in the touchdown department where he dropped from nine touchdowns in 2020 to just two in 2021. In an offense where Diontae Johnson is the clear number one receiver, at least in terms of targets (169 to Claypool’s 105 last season), Claypool must have a better nose for the endzone this season to maintain WR2 status.
