Biggest movers:
Helsley was the closer who moved up the most as he takes control of the Cardinals’ closer role, recording three saves in the last couple of weeks. He is up to nine saves on the season.
The Rangers’ closer situation dropped the most. After it originally looked like Brett Martin had taken control of the closer role, he went on to allow seven runs (five earned) in four appearances. Matt Moore earned the latest save opportunity for Texas. This remains a situation to monitor.
Other notes:
David Robertson is the biggest name to monitor at the trade deadline. Mychal Givens is the reliever who could take over the closer role for the Cubs if Robertson is traded. Bard and Lopez are a couple of other relievers to potentially monitor at the trade deadline next week.
