Allen Lazard signs restricted free agent tender
Allen Lazard has signed a restricted free agent tender with the Green Bay Packers according to Pro Football Talk. (Source: Pro Football Talk on Twitter )
Fantasy Impact: The tender Lazard signed is valued at $3.986 million for the 2022 season. If Lazard had failed to sign prior to June 15, it would have given Green Bay the ability to reduce the tender to $940,000. That possible $3 million loss was enough for Lazard to give in and sign, given Green Bay had all of the negotiating leverage outside of Lazard’s assumed position as the Packers’ WR1. Lazard figures to see a ton of targets this season with the departure of Aaron Rodgers’ favorite target Davante Adams.
David Johnson visiting the Saints on Monday

Fantasy Impact: This is Johnson’s first offseason visit after a down season with the Texans during which he started just four games and tallied 453 yards from scrimmage. He’s now 30 years old and with the Saints having both Alvin Kamara and Mark Ingram under contract, there would hardly be room for Johnson to make a fantasy impact. But, that’s likely the story for him wherever he winds up given his age and injury history so hopefully he finds some place to latch on to in order to continue his career.
Jerick McKinnon signs deal with Chiefs
Free agent RB Jerick McKinnon has agreed to terms on a one-year deal with the Kansas City Chiefs. (Source: Jeremy Fowler on Twitter)
Fantasy Impact: McKinnon, who is a former Chief, will be returning to the team on a one-year deal. He used to have solid production with the team, and he could find some value in the offense, with the depth chart for the backfield being far from defined. He will likely only play a third-down role, but it’s possible he can give some solid weeks for fantasy purposes.
Jakobi Meyers signs second-round tender
Patriots wide reciever Jakobi Meyers has signed his second-round tender worth $3.986 million. (Source: Adam Schefter on Twitter)
Fantasy Impact: The Patriots wide receiver core has had some shaky play over the past few seasons, but Meyers has been one of the lone bright spots at the position. He consistently flirts with 1000 yards, and he is one of the go-to targets for Mac Jones. He will be back for this year at least, and he will have some solid fantasy value as the possible WR1 for New England.
