Fantasy Impact: Adell has had a disappointing start to the 2022 season, both in the majors and at Triple-A. Angels manager Joe Maddon stated that Adell also would not be with the Angels if Ward was not on the IL. It sounds like he is just a depth piece until Ward returns.

Fantasy Impact: Ward has had an excellent 2022 season so far. He is slashing .333/.443/.644, with 10 home runs, 26 RBIs, and one steal. While his season has been a welcome surprise to fantasy managers, he definitely leaves a hole on any roster when he is out of the lineup.
