Hunter Renfroe (hamstring) may not be activated when first eligible

Fantasy Impact: Counsell said the Brewers want him to go through some more days of running. He’s going through a full workout again on Thursday. He has been on the IL since May 24 with a right hamstring strain.

Brandon Woodruff (ankle) plays catch Thursday

Fantasy Impact: Woodruff said he is encouraged his IL stint will be on the short end. “It was kind of a pass or fail thing,” Woodruff said. “It was either better or not. And it was better.” He will likely be scheduled for a bullpen session soon.

Austin Meadows expected to make return ‘soon’

Fantasy Impact: “Getting back into baseball was a little funny for [Meadows] just because he had hardly done anything for a couple of weeks,” Hinch said. “He said he felt great, symptom free. He said, ‘See you soon.’ That’s a good sign.” Meadows last played on May 15 when he started to feel symptoms of vertigo. He went on a rehab assignment with Triple-A Toledo on Wednesday and appears to be returning potentially next week.
