Dylan Carlson (hamstring) likely to return Friday

Fantasy Impact: Cardinals manager Oliver Marmol said that Carlson will get a rest day Thursday and will go through one more round of tests on his hamstring. If he passes that, he will rejoin the Cardinals for Friday’s game. He has a .247 AVG and 87 wRC+ in 2022.
Eloy Jimenez being taken off injury rehab after having leg discomfort
Eloy Jimenez felt discomfort in his leg while playing in Triple-A Charlotte and is being taken off his injury rehab for five days. (Source: Scott Merkin on Twitter)
Fantasy Impact: Rick Hahn described Jimenez as having “normal leg soreness” and the move is likely more about not rushing him back with his 20-day rehab clock winding down. For now, managers shouldn’t panic over this development, but they do need to push back their timetable for Jimenez’s return, as it looks unlikely to happen in the next two weeks even in the most optimistic of circumstances.
Lance Lynn progressing towards return, pitches rehab game on Wednesday

Fantasy Impact: Lynn didn’t exactly look sharp in this rehab game, allowing seven runs on eight hits and has a 9.00 ERA in three rehab starts with Triple-A Charlotte. Tony La Russa said Lynn felt good during the game and is looking forward to returning to Chicago. La Russa also mentioned that the team will wait to see how Lynn is feeling after a day or so and then decide if they will activate him. Lynn has been on the injured list for approximately two months after undergoing surgery on a small tear in his knee.
Andrew Kittredge (elbow) likely headed for surgery
Andrew Kittredge is likely headed for surgery to have a loose body removed from his elbow and will be out at least a month, according to Kevin Cash. (Source: Marc Topkin on Twitter)
Fantasy Impact: That escalated quickly, as Kittredge was just placed on the IL with elbow soreness this morning, and now will be out for several weeks. He’s obviously the leader of the committee for saves in Tampa Bay when healthy, but that hardly makes him one of the more valuable relievers in fantasy. If you have a free IL slot, then of course, stashing Kittredge is worthwhile. But otherwise, given his injury and the Rays’ bullpen usage, managers can feel free to move on.
