CTAs

1.09 Christian Watson (WR – GB)
Combine hype hero Christian Watson lands in Green Bay with the opportunity to become Aaron Rodgers‘ new bae. The athleticism is a known commodity for Watson as he is sporting a 98th percentile speed score and 95th percentile burst score. Marrying Watson’s immediate YAC ability with Rodgers will be a nice pairing. Watson has finished 12th, seventh, and 17th in the last three seasons in YAC per reception (among FCS and FBS wide receivers, minimum 50 targets per PFF).

2.09 Jalen Tolbert (WR – DAL)
With Michael Gallup‘s health questions and underwhelming effectiveness and the departure of Amari Cooper, Jalen Tolbert can compete for the number two role behind CeeDee Lamb immediately with Dalton Schultz. Tolbert dominated at South Alabama with a 96th percentile college dominator and 95th percentile target share (33.4%). Over the last two seasons, he was seventh and sixth in receiving yards among all FBS wideouts. If he seizes the number two spot, he’ll be a screaming value in fantasy football.

3.09 Khalil Shakir (WR – BUF)
Khalil Shakir might not have received late Day 3 draft capital (fifth-round), but he was gifted with a juicy landing spot. Shakir sits behind Jamison Crowder, who is on a one-year deal, and special teams players like Jake Kumerow and Isaiah McKenzie for snaps. Shakir is a versatile receiver who can play both inside and on the perimeter. He’s a player worth bookmarking for a middle-round pick who could be a starter in the Buffalo offense in 2023.

4.09 Daniel Bellinger (TE – NYG)
Daniel Bellinger‘s collegiate 1.19 yards per route run won’t blow you away, but he did show promise in his final season, increasing it to 1.66 (per PFF). Bellinger walks into a situation where he’ll face off against journeymen Ricky Seals-Jones and Jordan Akins for immediate playing time. He surprised many, including me, at the combine with his 4.63 40-yard dash (86th percentile) and 82nd percentile burst score. As a former linebacker recruit that transitioned to tight end upon arriving at San Diego State, he’s still finding his way at the position. The athleticism, draft capital, and lack of an entrenched starter should allow him to stake a claim as the team’s short (and maybe long-term) answer at the position should he perform well.

5.09 Bo Melton (WR – SEA)
The Seattle Seahawks have an unhealthy obsession with speedy receivers with questionable analytical profiles. They went down the D’Wayne Eskridge rabbit hole last year only to land on Bo Melton this year. The investment in Melton is slight as it only cost the team a seventh-round pick. Melton’s a late flier only. He’s currently blocked from the starting lineup by Tyler Lockett, D.K. Metcalf and either D’Wayne Eskridge or Freddie Swain. If Eskridge flames out again this year, it’s not impossible that Melton could get some run late in the season. His 4.34 speed, 93rd percentile college target share, and 81st percentile college dominator make him a shiny dart to toss at the board.
