It’s fantasy draft season. Hooray! Time to crank up your preparation, and we’re here to help. One of the most productive things you can do before your draft is to compare your formats ADP to the rankings. With that in mind, we took a look at ADPs on Fantrax and compared them to our ECR in search of values (half-point PPR). Below are some of the players our experts like better than ADP, sorted by position.

Quarterbacks
Tom Brady: QB11
Brady has climbed a bit after starting the summer at QB13. But an ADP of QB11 is still very low, considering he was the third-best fantasy quarterback last year, and he has an ECR of QB8 this year. Perhaps his little training camp vacation stunted his appeal in leagues that drafted early, knocking down his ADP. Whatever the case, he would be an incredible value if he’s available this late in your draft.
Jalen Hurts: QB8
Say what you want about Jalen Hurts as a real-life QB, but in fantasy, he’s a stud. On a points-per-game basis, he was QB6 in 2021. So if you draft him close to his ADP, you’ve done well. His legs keep his floor high, and he now has more weapons, including superstar receiver A.J. Brown. Our experts agree, ranking Hurts sixth among quarterbacks. As long as Hurts has the starting job, he’s a high-end starting QB.
Running Backs
Chase Edmonds: RB32
The Dolphins cut Sony Michel this week, leaving Raheem Mostert as Edmonds’ primary competition for touches in the Dolphins backfield. Both guys will play, but Edmonds should be the primary passing option and see more snaps. Plus, Mostert has an extensive injury history. If he goes down again, Edmonds’s value will skyrocket. Our experts have him ranked as RB26, so if you can land him after 30 in your draft, you’ve done well.
Dameon Pierce: RB44
Pierce’s ADP keeps rising, but he’s still a strong value considering the Texans’ have pretty much committed to him with Marlon Mack not making the team. With Mack on the practice squad, Pierce has the opportunity to run away with the job as the only other back to challenge him for touches is the veteran Rex Burkhead. Even Pierce’s current ECR of RB29 may be low, given the circumstances.
Wide Receivers
Courtland Sutton: WR24
Russell Wilson, Courtland Sutton’s new QB, is a future Hall-of-Famer. Sutton has never caught passes from anyone close to Wilson’s caliber to this point in his NFL career. The breakout many predicted for Sutton the past few seasons could come in 2022, especially given Wilson’s ability to throw the ball down the field. Our experts feel he’s a mid-range WR2 with an ECR of WR15. Remember that in 2019, before his ACL tear in 2020, Sutton was a Top 20 WR. He’s proven he can do it with inferior QBs, so imagine what he may accomplish with a great one.
Allen Lazard: WR47
Allen Lazard should be the top receiving target for Aaron Rodgers this year. His competition is two rookies and Sammy Watkins. Thus an ADP of 47 seems ludicrous, especially considering Lazard was the 45th best WR last year when the Packers still had Davante Adams. Even his ECR of 37 seems conservative, given the number of targets Lazard may get this season. He could be one of the biggest bargains in fantasy football this year.
Tight End
Tyler Higbee: TE36
Higbee’s low ADP must be the result of his MCL injury in January’s NFC championship game. There’s no other explanation for why it is so low. He didn’t play this preseason, but that isn’t a surprise with him coming off the injury. The Rams only have two Tight Ends on their roster, so his volume should remain consistent. Higbee may not be a top fantasy Tight End, but he’s a solid one who plays on one of the best offenses in the league. Last season he was TE14, and he appears to be healthy as he’s been participating in training camp. As such, his value should be closer to his ECR of #21, if not higher.
Hunter Henry: TE28
Henry’s ADP on Fantrax is just as baffling as Higbee’s. He was TE9 in half-point PPR leagues last season and is starting the season healthy. Henry may not duplicate his nine TDs from 2021, but he should again be one of Mac Jones‘ favorite targets. He’s a borderline starting Tight End, as is reflected in his ECR of TE13.
