Let’s take a look at the latest injury news and notes around fantasy baseball, involving Max Muncy, Clayton Kershaw, and Wander Franco. And check out all of our latest injury news on our fantasy baseball news desk.

Wander Franco (quad) will re-evaluated Tuesday

Rays SS Wander Franco is nursing a quad injury after leaving Monday’s game after feeling a “slight tug” as reported by the Tampa Bay Times’ Marc Topkin. (Source: Marc Topkin on Twitter)

Fantasy Impact: Franco is dealing with a quad issue once again. The team believes this is “more a slight tug than anything severe” and will re-evaluate Franco before Tuesday’s game to see if he can play. Franco had three hits Monday before exiting and has seven hits in his last six games so fantasy managers hope this issue doesn’t linger. Monitor his status before game time Tuesday night.

Clayton Kershaw will throw another bullpen in ‘next 2-3 days’

Dodgers SP Clayton Kershaw is expected to throw another bullpen in the “next 2-3 days” and could be sent on rehab assignment after that as reported by the Orange County Register’s J.P. Hoornstra. (Source: J.P. Hoornstra on Twitter)

Fantasy Impact: Kershaw threw a successful 35-pitch bullpen session on Monday and will throw another in the coming days. Dodgers manager Dave Roberts said “if all goes well, he’s going to go out on an assignment” so Kershaw could make a rehab start as soon as next week.

Max Muncy (elbow) ramping up activity

Max Muncy has resumed swinging a bat and will go to the Dodgers spring training facility to continue to ramp up baseball activities. (Source: JP Hoornstra on Twitter)

Fantasy Impact: Muncy was placed on the IL on Saturday with elbow inflammation, so it’s good news to see him swinging a bat so quickly. JP Hoornstra explains that this injury isn’t as cut and dry as a broken arm and that Muncy just doesn’t have enough strength at the moment. He is eligible to return on June 5, but it’s all going to depend on how Muncy responds to the healing process.
