Dynasty IDP Rookie Prospect Profile
Perrion Winfrey is another lineman in this class who beats blockers to the punch with an incredible first step, then uses leverage to drive the guard back and make problems in the backfield. Winfrey is a little more of a finesse player than most DTs, winning more with quickness and leverage than with power. Winfrey struggles against double teams as a DT who weighs less than 300 pounds, but even in the struggle, there he is, still taking up two blockers and freeing up someone else to make a play. If Winfrey is paired with another huge DT who takes up two blockers, he will be able to make a lot of noise in backfields and have more shots at sacks than most DTs.
