Jermaine Johnson is quick off the ball and can undoubtedly get to the quarterback, as evidenced by his 11.5 sacks last season for FSU. Johnson has a lot of what NFL teams are looking for: size, length, good first step, and a high motor. Many left the Senior Bowl thoroughly impressed with Johnson's efforts. Johnson isn't a one-dimensional player, as he also plays the rush well. He'd probably be getting more attention had this not been such an exceptional defensive draft class. He should be an immediate IDP contributor wherever he lands.

Jermaine Johnson - New York Jets, Round 1: Pick 26
Johnson had a TON of helium going into the draft but he ended up settling in with the New York Jets at pick 26 and adds to a now deep-looking arsenal of pass rushers for the Jets. Johnson will most likely compete with veteran Carl Lawson (who is coming off an Achilles tear in 2021) for 1st and 2nd down but even if he only gets pass-rushing downs he should make an immediate impact.
