Dynasty IDP Rookie Prospect Profile
Cameron Thomas could be a monster IDP producer if he racks up tackles and sacks like he did his senior year at San Diego State in 2021. Thomas could get lost in the shuffle in a class with incredible edge rushers, but he was a weapon for the Aztecs, lining up all over the defensive line for them and finishing with 10.5 sacks last year. While Thomas played all over the place in the Mountain West, he probably won’t be able to play much three-technique in the NFL after weighing in at 261 pounds at the combine.

Thomas wins with an incredible motor, great hands and unbelievable balance. There were a lot of plays where it looked like a guard got him off-kilter, only for him to recover and make the play. With his effort level and ability to make tackles in the run game, Thomas could be a decent contributor immediately, depending on his landing spot.

Zach Allen
Landing Spot and Dynasty Outlook
Cameron Thomas – Arizona Cardinals, Pick 87
Thomas ended up in a very good spot for pass rush opportunities but the Cardinals have a little depth at Edge rusher with Zach Allen (who was my comp for Thomas), Devon Kinnard, Markus Golden, and fellow rookie Myjai Sanders. Cam Thomas has better upside than all of these guys but will have to earn playing time in camp and preseason so at this point he’s more of a Dynasty pick.
