Dynasty IDP Rookie Prospect Profile

Aidan Hutchinson took a gigantic leap his senior year to lead the Wolverines to their first CFP berth. Hutch is a complete edge rusher who will drop in and wreak havoc from day 1. Hutch can beat blockers with a premium bull rush and uses his quick first step to bully tackles, getting them off balance and then putting them on the dirt. His hands are always active and one of his best assets, not only at the point of attack but when tackling the QB or ball carrier and going after the ball. Hutchinson will be able to play in any defensive front scheme. He shouldn’t be dropping back to cover passes if he’s in a mainly 3-4 front, but he can kick inside for those instances. Hutch is an all-hustle player, which is considered the difference between him and Kayvon Thibodeaux at the top of most boards.

Landing Spot and Dynasty Outlook

Aidan Hutchinson – Detroit Lions, Round 1: Pick 2
The Lions stick with the homegrown talent and Hutchinson should have an immediate impact for this defense.  The Lions were 29 of 32 in pressure percentage and dead last in QB knockdowns so Hutchinson will be an immediate upgrade and will start contributing immediately.  Last season the Lions added Levi Onwuzurike on the interior and this defensive front should be menacing in the near future.
