Fantasy Baseball Pitching Streamers: Week 1
Joshua Thusat shares his favorite pitching streamers for Week 1 and sneaks in a Bob Feller fact. Joshua says that his “job is to provide daily SP streamers for your fantasy baseball league. Here are the ground rules. Any streamer I choose should be rostered in less than 30% of Yahoo leagues. I may occasionally go above that mark, but only slightly. My explanation will follow each choice.”
20 Things To Watch For In Week 1
“Welcome, fantasy friends and foes, to the 2022 Fantasy Baseball season.
Every week I will identify what to watch for as you prep your fantasy baseball lineups and rosters.
While fantasy managers wait on the returns of their top picks, Fernando Tatis Jr (SS, OF – SD) and Ronald Acuna (OF – ATL), I preview the first week of the 2022 season.”

Top In-Season Management Tips
“Drafting a solid, well-balanced team is only a small part of winning your fantasy baseball leagues. The best fantasy managers are strategic, savvy, and active during the entire season. Here are a few strategies to help you win your fantasy baseball leagues this year.”
– Taylor Tarter
Top Fantasy Baseball Prospects To Stash
“After a disappointing showing in 2021, you may be hesitant to buy into prospects this season for fantasy baseball. I believe the lost 2020 Minor League season hurt many prospects’ development, leading to poor production in 2021. After an entire 2021 season, these youngsters should be ready to get back on the field, and with the crop of talent on the rise, we could see strong production from many prospects in 2022.”

13 League Winners
In fantasy sports, the line between victory and defeat can be thin. But this is especially so in baseball — a game rife with plenty of variables, randomness, and frequent overly lucky or unlucky performances. This is why it’s necessary to target as many heavily undervalued players as you can, especially as you head deeper into your draft. The more you acquire, the higher your odds are of having enough difference-makers that will push your team to the title. To aid you in your championship journey, we’ve summoned our featured analysts to share their insight on which undervalued players have high-end, league-winning potential.
Fantasy Baseball Weekly Planner: Week 1
“The new fantasy baseball year is upon us. Opening Day is on Thursday. As a result, the first week of the fantasy season runs from April 7 to April 17. Teams are fleshing out their rotations. So, I’m putting more weight on scheduled games and park factors for this scoring period than usual. There are 12 teams playing a week-low nine games, 14 teams playing 10 games, and four playing a week-high 11 games. In addition to the notable matchups, the hitter and pitcher notes sections are jam-packed with player updates.”
– Josh Shepardson
Spring Training Injury Roundup
“It is finally here! Opening Day is just a couple of days away, but that does not mean we aren’t still dealing with injuries throughout the league. This latest update will help you adjust your lineups, and see who you could pivot to before the season kicks off.”
– Christian Crespo
Fantasy Baseball FAAB Report: Alex Cobb, Jeremy Peña, Robert Suarez
First of many! We will be posting a FAAB advice article throughout the fantasy baseball season. Given that this is a post-draft FAAB article, we are strictly analyzing lesser drafted players who deserve your bids prior to the start of Opening Day. There are players ranging from 1% rostered to 45% rostered.
Moving forward, we will analyze those worthy of bids due to recent play, role changes, and also prospects making their way up to the bigs. We will also take a look back at the prior week’s suggested players and see how much they went for in public-facing industry leagues. With that being said, happy bidding! Note: FAAB is based on a $100 budget, roster percentage is from Yahoo!

2022 Fantasy Baseball Bold Predictions
With the season beginning on Thursday, it’s time to throw caution to the wind and get bold! If you’re right, you look like a genius. If you’re wrong, everyone knows your prediction had a fairly small chance of coming to fruition anyway. Some of these predictions may sound a little crazy, but crazy things happen in sports. You would’ve been laughed at if you predicted Cedric Mullins would become the first Orioles player to hit 30 home runs and steal 30 bags in a season and finish the season inside the top 20 in 5×5 leagues.
Our featured pundits are here to each share one bold fantasy baseball prediction for 2022. You shouldn’t expect these to occur, but anything can happen! Pay special attention to what a few of our analysts think Byron Buxton will accomplish this year.
10 Burning Questions: Jacob deGrom, Julio Rodriguez, Alex Cobb
As we prepare for Week 1 of the fantasy season, I have 10 burning questions that I’m looking either for answers to during the week or questions that may help fantasy managers navigate the week-to-week grind of their team.

Rookie Outlook: Bobby Witt Jr., Julio Rodriguez, Spencer Torkelson & More
Welcome to the biggest wave of opening day prospect promotions in recent memory. With the new CBA giving teams more of an incentive to bring up their top prospects on opening day, we’re seeing more and more teams give these young, talented players that call, which is a beautiful thing for us in fantasy.
We’re going to see several top-hitting prospects debut on opening day, and all of them have the potential to make a good-to-great impact right away. I’ll be discussing these players today and what to expect short-term in 2022 and long-term in dynasty.
– Eric Cross
Week 1 Quick Grades
The new MLB season also means fantasy baseball draft season has come to a close, and it’s time to set those lineups! Each week I will be bringing you the “quick grades” series. I am taking over for the wonderful Mike Maher, who killed it last season. I will do my best to follow the great work he did!
Each week, I will provide breakdowns of hitters with a grade range from 40 to 100. Think about a school grade (90-100 being an A, 80-89 equaling a B, and 70-79 = C, and so on).
Week 1 will cover the games for Thursday, April 7 through Sunday, April 10. Week two’s Quick Grades will release by Friday!
