Although it’s still incredibly early in the season, we’re beginning to enter the prime trading season where savvy managers can take advantage of some overreactions. Standings are largely irrelevant until nearly June, but nary a fantasy manager can avoid checking them out of the corner of his eye even at this young stage of the season.
Your team full of sluggers is last in home runs? Your ace pitching staff can’t get anybody out? Well, panicky managers may get impatient quickly, and that’s when a smart trade partner can come along and obtain a windfall.
Of course, sometimes hot starts in the early going are for real, and perceived “buying high” or “selling low” may in fact be taking advantage of some new or declining skills.
Trading is an art form, and figuring out how to do it effectively is an important key to fantasy success.
The trade chart is updated every week to make sure you can accurately asses player values as they constantly change. So make sure to give it a look before making any deal.
