Scott Bogman — host of the FantasyPros Dynasty Football Podcast and IDP Podcast — teamed with Joe Pisapia — Co-Host of the IDP Podcast — to provide dynasty rookie profiles for IDP players. They break down the top names of the 2022 NFL Draft class as you prepare for your dynasty rookie and startup drafts.
Dynasty IDP Rookie Prospect Profile
Trent McDuffie is my favorite CB in this class for upside for IDP production because he loves tackling. McDuffie had 45 tackles his first year as a starter and was down to 35 as a junior, probably because he got much better in coverage. He’ll have plenty of tackle opportunities in the NFL as a rookie CB and is more than willing to make a tackle in the run game. The downside to McDuffie is that he might slip due to measurables from the combine, and he only had two picks and 8 PDs as a three-year starter (he was hurt in 2020). McDuffie only allowed 111 yards last season as an outside corner, but teams should be willing to move him around because his size would play much better against the slot, and his willingness to tackle should earn him some safety snaps.

Landing Spot and Dynasty Outlook
Trent McDuffie – Kansas City Chiefs, Pick 21
McDuffie is going to be my favorite CB in this class for IDP because he loves tackling and should be afforded many opportunities with Kansas City. The Chiefs potent offense will put pressure on opposing QBs to throw and this will give McDuffie more opportunities to make a play on the ball and stack those tackle numbers.
