Dynasty IDP Rookie Prospect Profile
Jalen Pitre played the ‘Star’ position at Baylor, which means he was a Nickel LB for most snaps or what looks like a Slot Corner for most defenses. The important part for IDP players is that Pitre’s best asset is his tackling which will probably make him a box safety in most defenses where he can wrack up tackles. Pitre probably doesn’t have enough range to play Free Safety; he had over 100 snaps on the line last season and only 14 as a deep Safety. Pitre might not come off the board before Brisker or many of the great CBs in this class, but he offers a ton of IDP upside.

Landing Spot and Dynasty Outlook
Jalen Pitre – Houston Texans, Pick 37
The Texans continue to add to the secondary by taking Pitre who will play immediately for them in multiple roles. Pitre has experience lining up all over the field and should continue that with Houston. Pitre can come up and make a play in the run game (36 tackles for loss in his Collegiate Career), chase down the QB (8 sacks) or make a play on the ball (4 INTs, 10 PDs) and the Texans have needs help at all 3 levels. This landing spot is outstanding and we should see a lot of early production from Pitre.
