Scott Bogman — host of the FantasyPros Dynasty Football Podcast and IDP Podcast — teamed with Joe Pisapia — Co-Host of the IDP Podcast — to provide dynasty rookie profiles for IDP players. They break down the top names of the 2022 NFL Draft class as you prepare for your dynasty rookie and startup drafts.
Dynasty IDP Rookie Prospect Profile
The Rookie CB rule is in play for anyone, and Andrew Booth will be fascinating to see his rookie season. Booth will most likely go in the 1st round of the NFL Draft and get starting reps, if not right away, very early in the season, and he doesn’t have a ton of starting experience. Booth started last season and showed out in man coverage and can come up and make a tackle in the run game. Booth can get lost playing zone sometimes and will whiff on some tackles after the catch but should get better in both areas with playing time. The interesting part for this season is that rookie CBs are usually thrown at, and while Booth has excellent man skills, QBs are still going to test him, and he can make a play on the ball. Booth’s 5 picks in College were all on Madden level, one-handed, diving, and falling down types. If Booth starts early, he could be a nice boom or bust play in leagues that require CBs.

Landing Spot and Dynasty Outlook
Andrew Booth Jr – Minnesota Vikings, Pick 42
Booth seemed to slip down draft boards due to a hernia injury but Minnesota is a solid landing spot for future IDP value. Booth may not get the opportunity to start from Day 1 with Dantzler and Peterson but, Peterson was rough last season and is a UFA after the 2022 season. The sports hernia may keep him from starting camp on time but Booth will probably be the best CB on the Vikings by the end of the season.
