Scott Bogman — host of the FantasyPros Dynasty Football Podcast and IDP Podcast — teamed with Joe Pisapia — Co-Host of the IDP Podcast — to provide dynasty rookie profiles for IDP players. They break down the top names of the 2022 NFL Draft class as you prepare for your dynasty rookie and startup drafts.
Dynasty IDP Rookie Prospect Profile
In terms of IDP roster-ability, Ahmad “Sauce” Gardner might only be a rookie player as he was DOMINANT in coverage and projects as a CB that can take a big chunk of the field away by QBs not wanting to throw to his side. Rookies get picked on, but for a 3 star High Schooler to earn a starting job and work his way up to the starting role so quickly, I doubt the learning curve will be significant for Gardner at the next level. Gardner can tackle and make plays on the ball, but the most impressive stat (that you’ve probably heard before) is that he did not allow a TD in his collegiate career. Gardner will go very high in the draft and be the 1st CB off the board, so that playing time will be there, but he will work hard to be not thrown at, and that could hurt his IDP production because he’s too good!

Sauce Gardner – New York Jets, Pick 4
Gardner is the finally the Darrelle Revis replacement the Jets have been waiting on. Gardner never had great tackle numbers in College as opposing QBs would avoid throwing the ball to him but with Cincinnat’s offense putting up points the opposing offense had to play catch up and Sauce was always ready to make a play. Gardner is another CB that seems more valuable in the NFL than fantasy like Derek Stingley. The Jets seem to a good shot at creating a high scoring offense and put pressure on opposing offenses and Gardner will jump in value if that happens.
