Q. What is your single favorite prop bet heading into the 2022 NFL Draft?
“I can’t recall a draft with so much uncertainty, even as far as the #1 overall pick, like the one we have coming up. Quarterbacks generally lead the headlines leading up to the draft. However, the 2022 draft class isn’t considered one with very much talent as compared to years past and next year’s 2023 draft. With as many as 10 teams possibly drafting a quarterback early in this draft, and no clear-cut top prospect, Kenny Pickett (+145) to be the first quarterback drafted could be a smart prop play for the 2022 Draft. Much has been made regarding Pickett’s hand size, but he’s a four-year starter at Pittsburgh and has good size, mobility and accuracy. Pickett isn’t ready to step in and start right away, but most of the teams looking to draft a quarterback this year already have someone in place for this upcoming season anyway. There could be value on the plus-money with Pickett being the first QB off the board. ”

“Matt Corral’s draft position UNDER 33.5 (-105) is what I’m choosing. The big storyline of this year’s NFL Draft is that the quarterback class is weak compared to prior iterations. Maybe, but there are still plenty of organizations seeking a long-term solution at arguably the most critical position in sports — that inflates the draft stock of all quarterbacks. Matt Corral is a consensus top-four QB in the draft, but his prop bet gives him plenty of wiggle room to find a landing spot. He’s an obvious choice for the Lions at 32, but only if he lasts that long.”
– Mario Mergola (Sporfolio)
“Aidan Hutchinson selected No. 2 Overall (+110) is my choice. As the NFL Draft fast approaches, my favorite prop bet is Aiden Hutchinson +110 to be the #2 overall selection. Only a week ago this number was +350, and now it’s down near pick’em. Arguably the best player to enter the draft, Hutchinson is now predicted to go #2 overall, and I want to jump on the number now while it’s at plus money.””
– Derek Yoder (Picks By Blaze)
“The best prop bet out there right now is the ‘under’ on Derek Stingley Jr (-140). He is red hot right now in NFL Draft circles. It would not surprise me if he is drafted as high as third overall. There are a half dozen teams in the top 10 that would like to acquire the services of one of the top cornerbacks in the 2022 class. Hammer the ‘under’ on 9.5.”
– Matt MacCoy (Fantasy Team Advice)
“With this current batch of quarterbacks, anyone could be the first one taken in the NFL draft that is why my favorite prop bet heading into Thursday is Matt Corral (+1800) as the first QB taken. Corral has been getting more and more first-round buzz as we get closer to the draft and I could easily see a team who has fallen in love with him making him the first QB taken off the board.”
– Dylan Licciardo (FF Gamers)
“Under 3.5 QBs drafted in Round 1 (-110) is my favorite bet. I know the league is desperate for QBs, but I don’t anticipate four first-rounders in a lackluster year. My sense is that three passers go in Round 1: Malik Willis, Kenny Pickett and either Desmond Ridder or Matt Corral. ”
– Kevin English (Draft Sharks)
“It’s hard to believe there won’t be three quarterbacks taken in the first round of the draft. That’s why I like under 30.5 for Desmond Ridder (-110). He doesn’t have the most upside at the position, but he’s safe and someone will trade up for him late in the first round if still available.”
– Adam Zdroik (RotoWire)
“We live in a world in which shiny new toys are always appreciated more than the old reliable ones. Therefore, betting on over 16.5 offensive players taken in the first round (-105) is a good bet. Look for teams to draft offensive needs over best player available.”
