That Wednesday card was wild. It’s always tough when almost every team is in action, and it left me with a break-even night. In any case, we’re getting a lot of important games right now, and that’s certainly the case here!
After a massive 12-game slate on Wednesday, we’re looking at just two games here. These slates are usually terrible from a DFS perspective, but we actually have two fantastic matchups. That has me excited to break it down, so, let’s kick things off with the schedule and odds!

Core Plays
James Harden (PG/SG – PHI): $10,400 DraftKings, $10,200 FanDuel
Harden has returned to his MVP form since leaving Brooklyn, so, you know he’ll keep that going against his former team. James has at least 48 DraftKings points in five straight fixtures, averaging nearly 60 fantasy points per game in that span. It’s not like Brooklyn has been stopping anyone since he left either, ranked 23rd in defensive efficiency ratings.
Stephen Curry (PG – GSW): $9,800 DraftKings, $9,100 FanDuel
It’s weird to see Chef Curry below $10K on both sites. This is still one of the best players in fantasy, averaging over 46 DraftKings points per game for the season. He’s also established a 30-point floor, which is really all you can hope for from a $9K player. We certainly don’t expect Denver to slow him down, with the Nuggets surrendering the seventh-most fantasy points to opposing point guards this year.
Cash Game Considerations
Nikola Jokic (C – DEN): $11,200 DraftKings, $11,400 FanDuel
Not much needs to be said when talking about Jokic. This guy leads the NBA with 61 fantasy points per game, scoring at least 40 DK points in all but one game this season. He’s actually been even better recently, combining for 247 DraftKings points over the last three games. That’s a good month for most players, and The Joker should be able to continue that superb form since he’s averaging 69 DK points per game in his three meetings with the Warriors this season.
Joel Embiid (C – PHI): $10,800 DraftKings, $10,800 FanDuel
The only guy who can match up with Jokic’s consistency is this guy. Joel has at least 40 DraftKings points in 48 of his 51 games this season, generating a 56-point average. That’s the third-highest total in the NBA, and you know he’ll be motivated in this showcase matchup. In his three meetings with the Nets this season, Embiid is averaging 51 DraftKings points per game despite playing just 31 minutes a night.
GPP Targets
Andre Drummond (C – BKN): $5,700 DraftKings, $5,600 FanDuel
If you’ve been playing DFS, you know that Drum is one of the best cash game options on every slate. This guy is averaging about 1.3 DK points per minute for his career, filling the stat sheet whenever given the opportunity. We love that since Aldridge is out, leaving Drummond with a 25-minute role. If you look at the 14 games he’s played at least 23 minutes, Drummond is donning a 41-point average. Good luck finding that from another sub-$6K player!
Goran Dragic (PG/SG – BKN): $3,600 DraftKings, $4,200 FanDuel
It was unclear what Dragic’s role would look like in Brooklyn, but early results are incredibly encouraging. He’s played at least 28 minutes in two of his last three games, and if he keeps doing that, The Dragon is going to get above $5K. He’s averaging 21 DK points per game in that three-game span, and he’s only going to get better the more he becomes acclimated with this offense. If you want to fit in two or three of these studs, Dragic is one of the best pairings with them.
Value Plays
Monte Morris (PG – DEN): $4,700 DraftKings, $5,400 FanDuel
This pricing is criminal. Morris has been one of the Nuggets best players this season, taking over ball-handling duties in the absence of Murray and Porter. He’s averaging over 25 fantasy points per game for the season and has been even better recently. In fact, Monte has at least 35 DraftKings points in each of his last three games! That’s unbelievable from a $5K player, especially since he’s averaging 33 fantasy points per game against the Warriors this season.
Kevon Looney(C – GSW): $4,100 DraftKings, $4,700 FanDuel
Looney has quietly had a lovely season for Golden State. He’s been starting at center all year, but he’s seen his role increase in the absence of Draymond. That’s led to him posting a 25-point average over his last 29 games played. He’s doing that damage in fewer than 24 minutes a night, and he should see at least 25-30 here to oppose Jokic. He’s played at least 26 minutes in all three of their matchups, providing a 29-point average!
Advantageous Pricing
- Bruce Brown (SG/SF – BKN): $5,100 DraftKings, $6,900 FanDuel
- James Johnson (SF/PF – BKN): $3,400 DraftKings, $4,300 FanDuel
- Stephen Curry (PG – GSW): $9,800 DraftKings, $9,100 FanDuel
- Klay Thompson (SG – GSW): $6,600 DraftKings, $5,700 FanDuel
- Will Barton (SG – DEN): $5,900 DraftKings, $4,900 FanDuel
- Jordan Poole (PG/SG – GSW): $5,200 DraftKings, $6,300 FanDuel
- DeMarcus Cousins (C – DEN): $4,900 DraftKings, $6,000 FanDuel
