The reboot of the USFL kicks off in April. The first contest of the new league is Saturday, April 16. Below, I’ve broken down the 2022 season by each team, using the week-by-week schedule from the USFL’s official website. In addition, the league has announced dates and tv times for the first two weeks of the regular season. Finally, the USFL’s postseason includes two semifinal contests on June 25 and the USFL Championship Game on Sunday, July 3. Birmingham Stallions
In Week 1, the Stallions play the inaugural game on Saturday, April 16, at 7:30 PM ET. The game is televised on FOX, NBC, and Peacock. In Week 2, they're televised on Saturday, April 23 at 7:00 PM ET on FS1.
Houston Gamblers
In Week 1, the Gamblers play on Sunday, April 17 at noon ET on NBC and Peacock. In Week 2, they play on Saturday, April 23 at 7:00 PM ET on FS1.
Michigan Panthers
The Panthers start their season on Sunday, April 17 at noon ET on NBC and Peacock. Then, they're playing on Friday, April 22 at 8:00 PM ET on USA in Week 2.
New Jersey Generals
The Generals play in the first game for the rebooted USFL on Friday, April 16, at 7:30 PM ET on FOX, NBC, and Peacock. Their Week 2 game is on Friday, April 22, at 8:00 PM ET on USA.
New Orleans Breakers
In Week 1, the Breakers are televised on USA on Sunday, April 17 at 4:00 PM ET. They play on Sunday, April 24 at 3:00 PM ET on NBC the following week.
Philadelphia Stars
The Stars play their first game on Sunday, April 17 at 4:00 PM ET on USA. In Week 2, they play on Saturday, April 23 at 7:00 PM ET on FS1.
Pittsburgh Maulers
The Maulers play in the final game of Week 1 on Sunday, April 17 at 8:00 PM ET on FS1. In Week 2, they play on Saturday, April 23 at noon ET on FOX.
Tampa Bay Bandits
The Bandits play in the final games of Week 1 and Week 2. In Week 1, they play on Sunday, April 17 at 8:00 PM ET on FS1. In Week 2, they play on Sunday, April 24 at 3:00 PM ET on NBC.
Postseason
It's unlikely the NFL envies much about the USFL. However, they might be jealous of the timing of the USFL's Championship game. The game is the Sunday before the Fourth of July. A championship game the night before a holiday? I love it!
