Andrew Erickson shares Free Agency and NFL Draft Needs for all 32 Teams
Q. Please name one free agent skill player and tell us where you think he will go and what it will do for his fantasy value.
“It feels like ages since D.J. Chark was a hot breakout name in fantasy circles, but he is still only 25 years old. While the Lions moved quickly to retain Josh Reynolds, they can still upgrade their receiver depth chart alongside Amon-Ra St. Brown. Chark would be a substantial uptick for the Lions over Quintez Cephus and possibly come at a discount considering his last two down seasons.”

“There are few studs who have experienced a more intense fall from grace than Will Fuller. Fuller, you may recall, went from having a career year in Houston to being suspended for PEDs to being injured nearly all season for the Miami Dolphins. It’s been almost two years since he had fantasy relevance. My prediction is that he signs a “prove it” deal to go to the Cardinals, reuniting Fuller with Hopkins and giving Kyler Murray another (potentially) top-notch weapon. He won’t ever be an enviable dynasty option, but he could easily become a Top-24 WR in redraft leagues.”
– Tim Metzler (FantasyPros)
“Odell Beckham Jr.finished his season with quite a flourish. Unfortunately, he also finished with a torn ACL. As touching as it would be to see him land back with the Rams, I think the Packers will come knocking on Beckham’s door and finally give Rodgers the second WR option he’s been lacking since Jordy Nelson. The injury will keep his cost down a bit and his draft stock as well. He’s a WR3 with upside in this scenario. ”
– Joe Pisapia (FantasyPros)
“Marquez Valdes-Scantling is going to sign with the Bears. Green Bay can’t afford to re-sign MVS. Chicago is in decent cap shape, needs WR help, and could deal a blow to a division rival by poaching a useful contributor. Valdes-Scantling is prone to the occasional concentration drop but offers a tempting combination of size (6-4, 206) and speed. He’d be a nice vertical threat for Justin Fields, who throws a pretty deep ball.”
– Pat Fitzmaurice (FantasyPros)
“Will Fuller is a forgotten fire. Not only because he has burned managers by playing only 57% of games through his first six seasons, but because he can be a fantasy WR1 when healthy. Although the 27-year-old may not return the production he once had with Houston, he should easily surpass his current dynasty ECR (WR 63). For my prediction, what better place to take a gamble than predicting Fuller to join the Las Vegas Raiders. The Raiders have the money to bring him in and have a clear role for a big play guy who could see consistent target volume. I’m predicting a three-year deal with Vegas, where the veteran wideout could easily return to the dynasty WR3 ranks.”
– Ellis Johnson (True North Fantasy Football)
“Cedrick Wilson is an under-the-radar skill-position player who has my attention. The Cowboys can score prolifically (No. 1 last year with 31.2 points per game), Amari Cooper is likely to be released (per Adam Schefter), and Michael Gallup (knee) might not be ready to play early in the year because of his injury (plus he also needs to re-sign with the team). The Cowboys want to re-sign Wilson (per Ian Rapoport), and last year he had a playmaking 9.9 yards per target and 9.8% touchdown rate. In his nine career games with six-plus targets, Wilson has averaged 65 yards and 0.56 touchdowns (including playoffs). If Wilson re-signs with the Cooper-less Cowboys, he will be an upside WR3 in fantasy.”
– Matthew Freedman (FantasyPros)
