Robert Quinn (DE/LB – CHI): 9% rostered on Yahoo
Yes, Yahoo needs to stop labeling 3-4 outside linebackers as LB’s only, but there is no excuse for Robert Quinn to be available in so many leagues. Quinn has been excellent in 2021 and is now up to a stunning 14 sacks in his age 31 season. How stunning is it? The 14 sacks is the second-highest mark of his Hall of Fame career and is quite the jump from the two sacks he had all of last season. The fact that he has been able to do this with Khalil Mack sidelined for most of the season is mind-boggling. Quinn has 8.5 sacks in his last five games and should be in lineups universally as a DL1/LB1 option. He recorded two solos, two sacks, and two tackles for loss in Week 15 and should be started in leagues of all sizes. Treat him like a T.J. Watt lite and plug him into lineups regardless of positional labeling for a plus Week 15 matchup against a Minnesota Vikings allowing the 16th most fantasy points to opposing edge rushers.
Kwon Alexander (LB – NO): 2% rostered on Yahoo
Kwon has been stepping it up lately. He recorded four solos, two sacks, and one tackle for loss in Week 14 and should be added to rosters wherever possible. The DL11 overall and DL20 in fantasy points per game since he started heating up in Week 11, Kwon is a strong LB2 option for a plus Week 15 matchup against the Tampa Bay Buccaneers. The Bucs have limited the linebacker position to the fewest fantasy points per game but are running the ball and completing enough short passes to allow someone like Kwon to thrive against his former team. Kwon was rock sold against them back in Week 8 despite playing just 44 percent of the snaps, recording three solos, one assist, one sack, and two tackles for loss. Kwon has been playing around 80 percent of the snaps over his last four games and should be good to do so once again against Tampa Bay. Fire Kwon up as a sneaky LB2 option.
Damien Wilson (LB – JAC): 5% rostered on Yahoo
Damien Wilson has been hot and cold this season but seems to be in the midst of another hot spell, tallying six solos, four assists, one sack, and two tackles for loss in Week 15. He looks poised to finish the fantasy season with a bang. He has a tasty matchup against the Houston Texans in Week 15 and gets the New York Jets in Week 16. Wilson is more LB3 than LB2 with the byes wrapped up but should produce at an LB2 level over the next two weeks. Add and start Wilson here possible.
Matt Milano (LB – BUF): 10% rostered on Yahoo
Matt Milano looks to have kicked in back in gear just in time for the fantasy playoffs. He recorded six solos, three assists, one sack, and one tackle for loss. He continues to be a streaky option but is in a prime blow-up spot in Week 15 against Cam Newton and the Carolina Panthers. Count him as an LB2 option for the plus matchup. Add Milano where possible ahead of the tremendous matchup against the Carolina Panthers.
Quincy Williams (LB – NYJ): 10% rostered on Yahoo
Quincy Williams continues to chug along and has been excellent since going back to starters snaps in Week 11. Quincy recorded five solos, three assists, one tackle for loss, and one pass defended in Week 14 and is an LB2 option for a plus Week 15 matchup against a Miami Dolphins team allowing the 13th most fantasy points to the linebacker position. He has been the LB6 overall and the LB9 in fantasy points per game since he started cooking in Week 11 and should be plugged into lineups as a high ceiling, high floor option for semi-finals week. He has the Jaguars in Week 16 before getting Tampa Bay in Week 17, so he has impact matchups the rest of the way. Add Quincy where possible.
Christian Kirksey (LB – HOU): 6% rostered on Yahoo
Christian Kirksey is rounding back into his pre-injury form and recorded five solos and five assists in Week 14. He has a great Week 15 matchup against the dumpster fire known as the Jacksonville Jaguars and is a strong LB2 option with LB1 upside in the plus matchup. There is no reason for Kirksey to be available in so many leagues after playing in two games since his injury. Rectify that immediately, before one of your playoff opponents makes the move and starts him against you.
Myles Jack (LB – JAC): 12% rostered on Yahoo
Myles Jack was excellent in Week 14, recording six solos and four assists. He has been inconsistent for much of the season but gets the benefit of a plus matchup in semi-finals week against the Houston Texans. He is in the LB2 conversation for Week 15 due to opponent and will remain there in Week 16 and 17 against the New York Jets and New England Patriots, respectively. Add Jack where needed.
Dre’Mont Jones (DE – DEN): 2% rostered on Yahoo
Dre’Mont has been heating up lately and crescendoed with three solos, two sacks, three tackles for loss, and one pass defended in Week 14. Dre’Mont now has four sacks in his last four games and is looking like a plus play against a leaky Cincinnati Bengals offensive line in Week 15. He has been stepping up not only as a pass rusher but as a run defender as well, notching at least three solos in three of those four contests. The DL6 overall and in fantasy points per game since Week 10, Dre’Mont should be added and started as a DL2 option wherever needed by those looking for some help for semi-finals week.
Randy Gregory (DE – DAL): 4% rostered on Yahoo
Randy Gregory returned in Week 14 and made an immediate impact, recording one solo, one sack, one tackle for loss, one interception, one pass defended, and one forced fumble. He now has six sacks in his eight games played and is the DL10 in fantasy points per game. He has an excellent Week 15 play regardless of who is under center for the New York Giants. Gregory should be added where needed, even if it is just to block your playoff opponent.
Jadeveon Clowney (DE – CLE): 5% rostered on Yahoo
Jadeveon Clowney was excellent in Week 14 against the Baltimore Ravens, tallying one solo, two assists, 1.5 sacks, one tackle for loss, and one pass defended. He has been quiet for the last several weeks as his Sunday sack was his first since back in Week 6. He is a strong add but may be more DL3 than DL2 for Week 15 due to facing off against a Raiders team limiting the defensive end position to the fewest fantasy points per game. However, Las Vegas has allowed nine sacks over their last three games, including four last week to Kansas City. Add and start Clowney as a DL3 with DL2 upside in what is a plus matchup against the Raiders.
Yannick Ngakoue (DE – LV): 10% rostered on Yahoo
Ngakoue got back on the sack sheet in Week 14, recording one solo, one assist, one tackle for loss, and one pass defended. He is up to nine sacks on the season, with all nine of them coming in his last 10 games. The DL13 overall and DL16 in fantasy points per game since Week 5, Ngakoue should be rostered in all competitive leagues. He is often a sack and nothing else type of proposition but has been too hot to keep out of lineups for Week 15. Ngakoue is an excellent DL2 option for semi-finals week despite a tougher on paper matchup against the Cleveland Browns and should be added and started where possible. Add him even if it is just to keep him off your opponent’s roster.
Darrell Taylor (DE – SEA): 1% rostered on Yahoo
Taylor has been starting to heat up over the last few weeks and now has two sacks in his last three games. He slowed to a crawl after a hot start to the season as he was never quite the same since his injury. That seems to have changed, making him a solid DL2 option for a plus Week 15 matchup against the Los Angeles Rams. Matthew Stafford has struggled recently and was sacked three times in Monday night’s win. Roll with Taylor if you need to add some upside to your Week 15 lineup.
Grant Delpit (S – CLE): 1% Ronnie Harrison (S – CLE): 1%
Grant Delpit flashed his immense talent in Week 14, racking up 11 solo tackles against the Baltimore Ravens. He is a DB2 option if injuries force him into a starting role for Week 15. However, if Ronnie Harrison returns for this weekend, it should be him and not Delpit, who you plug into lineups for the Browns matchup against the Las Vegas Raiders. Delpit has the more fantasy-friendly game, but Harrison sees starters snaps when healthy. This is a messy situation as no one wants to burn two roster spots on one player, but with a plus matchup and a potential DB1 performance in the offing, this is a situation that you will want to get ahead of. Add Delpit and scoop Harrison from FA after the waiver period is over.
Landon Collins (S/LB – WAS): 9% rostered on Yahoo
Landon Collins was excellent in Week 14, recording five solos, two sacks, one tackle for loss, one interception, and one pass defended. He was sent back to the wire in many leagues after missing Week 13 and stinking it up in Week 11 but should be added immediately by those still alive in the playoffs. He continues to soak up highly valuable snaps at linebacker and is a borderline DB1 option for Week 15 thanks to a plus matchup against the Philadelphia Eagles. Add him where possible.
Divine Deablo (LB – LV): 2% rostered on Yahoo
Divine played 79 percent of the snaps with Denzel Perryman sidelined, recording five solos and five assists. That gives him back-to-back games with double-digit combined tackles and makes him a sneaky LB2 option if Perryman is sidelined again in Week 15. Perryman missed practice all of last week with an ankle injury, so there is no guarantee that he will be back for this weekend. Make the speculative add and reap the rewards if Perryman is sidelined again as expected.
Nasir Adderley (S – LAC): 9% rostered on Yahoo
Nasir Adderley was solid if unspectacular in Week 14, recording four solos, three assists, and one pass defended. He has not been quite the same since missing Week 10 but has a prime opportunity to bounce back in semi-finals week against a Kansas City Chiefs team allowing the seventh-most fantasy points to the safety position. He can be counted as a DB2 option, thanks to the plus matchup. Add Adderely where needed.
Vonn Bell (S – CIN): 15% rostered on Yahoo
Vonn Bell was excellent in Week 14, recording five solos, five assists, two passes defended, and one forced fumble. Vonn has been inconsistent but has a tremendous Week 15 matchup against a Denver Broncos team gifting the second-most fantasy points per game to the safety position. Add him ahead of the plus matchup and reap the rewards. Vonn can be counted as a DB2 option for Week 15 and will remain one for a juicy Week 16 matchup against the Baltimore Ravens.
