I’ve seen some things in NBA DFS, but this is undoubtedly the craziest time period I’ve ever witnessed. Having all of these guys land on the COVID protocols list was one thing, but having guys come back makes things even crazier. It’s tough to navigate who will play and who won’t, but we’re trying our best to break it down for you guys!
This week has been excellent in terms of how many games there are each day, and it’s left us with a nine-game slate for this Wednesday card. That’s the most extensive slate of the week, and it has us with a ton of value. There are a million players in COVID protocols and a thousand things to discuss, so let’s go ahead and get into it!

Injury Report
Core Plays
Ja Morant (PG – MEM): $8,800 DraftKings, $8,600 FanDuel
Something tells me Ja is going to drop some jaws here. This man is the greatest showman in the NBA, and you better believe he’s going to put it to the Lakers here. It’s not like Los Angeles is a scary defense either, ranked 27th in points allowed, first in pace, and dead-last in fantasy points surrendered to opposing point guards. That’s bad news against a guy like this, with Morant maintaining a 44-point average for the season and doing more in the absence of Dillon Brooks and De’Anthony Melton.
DeMar DeRozan (SF/PF – CHI): $9,600 DraftKings, $9,200 FanDuel
It’s bizarre that DeRozan is having the best year of his career in Chicago, but something has changed. The former Raptor has at least 34 DraftKings points in all but two games this season en route to a 42-point average. That makes it hard to understand why he remains below $10,000, especially since he faces a 25th-ranked Atlanta defense here. In their last matchup, DD dropped 57.3 DK points on them.
Myles Turner (C – IND): $7,400 DraftKings, $7,200 FanDuel
Indiana has the best matchup in fantasy here. They square off with a Charlotte team that ranks dead-last in points allowed and defensive efficiency. They also play at the second-fastest pace in the NBA, adding more fantasy value to their opponents. We love that for an athletic big like this, with Turner scoring at least 34 DK points in four of his last five games.
Cash Game Considerations
Clint Capela (C – ATL): $8,200 DraftKings, $8,000 FanDuel
Go look at the Hawks roster… Who else is going to play minutes in the frontcourt? Everyone else is injured or in COVID protocols, and it should force Capela into 40-plus minutes of play. We’re talking about a guy who’s averaging 35 DK points per game in fewer than 30 minutes a night, putting him in line for 50-plus here if he gets the role we anticipate.
Hamidou Diallo (SG/SF – DET): $6,200 DraftKings, $6,000 FanDuel
This is another roster ravished by injuries and COVID. Detroit is expected to be without Cade Cunningham, Jerami Grant, Isaiah Stewart, Kelly Olynyk, Killian Hayes, Cory Joseph, Trey Lyles, and Josh Jackson. That leaves Diallo as one of the only guys remaining, with Hamidou scoring at least 28 DK points in three straight fixtures. He’s also playing over 36 minutes a night in that span, which could be the floor again here.
Marcus Morris Sr (SF/PF – LAC): $5,400 DraftKings, $6,500 FanDuel
The Clippers have been trying to cope without Kawhi Leonard, Reggie Jackson, and Paul George, leaving Morris to feast. He actually came off the COVID list in his most recent outing, collecting 24 points, five rebounds, and six assists. That marked his third straight game with at least 36 DK points, and he looks like the focal point for this shorthanded team. We also don’t mind that the Celtics own a 26th OPRK against opposing forwards.
GPP Targets
Richaun Holmes (C – SAC): $5,500 DraftKings, $6,000 FanDuel
Holmes has been horrible in his return from an eye injury, but foul trouble has really limited his fantasy production. This is still one of the most talented centers in the NBA, averaging 29 DK points per game for the season. That’s a massive total from such a cheap player, and we love that Dallas surrenders the fifth-most fantasy points to opposing centers. That was on full display when Richaun registered 44 DraftKings points in their one meeting earlier this year.
JaVale McGee (C – PHX): $5,100 DraftKings, $5,200 FanDuel
It looks like McGee will start with Deandre Ayton entering COVID protocols. He’s been outstanding in a limited role this season, averaging 22.4 DK points per game across 16 minutes a night. We believe he should be looking at 30-plus minutes in this new role, which would equate to 40-50 fantasy points per game. If you get that from a $5K player, you’re way ahead of the pack! Not to mention, OKC has one of the worst frontcourts in the NBA and just lost their two primary centers to COVID protocols.
Nassir Little (SF – POR): $5,000 DraftKings, $6,500 FanDuel
There aren’t many guys left in Portland! They were already missing McCollum to an injury but sending Jusuf Nurkic, and Robert Covington to COVID protocols has left this roster in shambles. It has forced Little into a monster role, scoring at least 28 DK points in three straight fixtures. He’s also flirting with a 40-point average in that span, making him tough to fade in this price range.
Value Plays
Mason Plumlee (C – CHA): $4,500 DraftKings, $5,500 FanDuel
Plumlee was in this section on Monday, and we’re going right back to the well. Charlotte is missing P.J. Washington and Miles Bridges, leaving Mason with all the center minutes he can handle. That was certainly the case on Monday, providing 40 DK points across 29 minutes of play. This guy has always been a great fantasy producer when given 30-plus minutes, and that feels guaranteed right now.
Omer Yurtseven (C – MIA): $4,600 DraftKings, $5,500 FanDuel
Yurtseven has been given a monster role in Miami, with the Heat playing without Bam Adebayo, Dewayne Dedmon, and Udonis Haslem. Those are the only other three centers on this roster, leaving Omer to feast. He’s seen his minutes climb in five straight outings, scoring at least 24 DK points in all of those. That’s scary since he’s averaging 1.1 DK points per minute, making him a candidate to reach 8X value at this diminished price tag.
Joe Ingles (SG/SF – UTA): $4,000 DraftKings, $4,500 FanDuel
Ingles is a different player when he starts. He actually averaged nearly 30 DraftKings points per game in that role last season and should continue to see a big workload with Donovan Mitchell out of the lineup. That means his shots, minutes, and assists will skyrocket, making Jingles one of the best values at just $4K!
