5 Players I Like More Than ECR
Clyde Edwards-Helaire: CEH dominated the touches in this backfield in his Week 11 return and that’s likely to continue here. He moves back into mid-range RB2 territory versus low-end RB2. He’s RB21 in ECR and RB18 in my rankings.
Miles Sanders: There’s the possibility that I bump up Sanders even higher on Sunday morning from his RB20 status in my rankings due to this matchup against the Jets. He’s RB22 in ECR.
Jaylen Waddle: At this point, Waddle’s a locked-in fixture to your lineup every single week. He’s WR18 in ECR and WR15 in my rankings.
Russell Gage: This is a little bit further down the board, but Gage deserves to be considered in a favorable matchup for opposing WRs. Atlanta’s going to have to throw a lot in this one and Gage has been getting the job done recently. He’s WR35 in my rankings and WR40 in ECR.
Jack Doyle: Foster Moreau could have gotten the nod here, but Doyle is the biggest difference in my rankings for this week at the TE position. He’s been heavily involved in the offense here in recent weeks and this is a dream matchup for opposing TEs. He’s TE23 in ECR and TE16 in my rankings.
5 Players I Like Less Than ECR
James Robinson: Robinson’s been steady so far this season, but this offense isn’t very good and they’re about to play a ticked off Rams defense. He’s RB11 in ECR and RB13 in my rankings.
Saquon Barkley: Barkley’s back to full strength and he still did next to nothing last week. With Mike Glennon at QB, this offense could be rough to watch on Sunday. He’s RB12 in ECR and RB19 in my rankings currently. I need to see it from him first before I buy back in.
DK Metcalf: Does Metcalf have the talent and upside to finish as a top-5 WR this week? Absolutely. However, I want to see it happen before I buy back in. He’s WR16 in ECR and WR19 in my rankings.
Courtland Sutton: What has Sutton done recently for us to buy into him being a start-worthy fantasy asset? He’s WR34 in ECR and WR37 in my rankings.
Jalen Hurts: Hurts isn’t even a lock to play in this game due to his ankle injury and that’s most likely going to hamper his rushing upside if he does suit up. He’s QB7 in ECR and QB10 in my rankings.
Desperation Pickups
Ben Roethlisberger: There aren’t very many solid QB options on the waiver wire anymore, but Big Ben is only rostered in 22% of Yahoo leagues.
Foster Moreau: If you have a need at the TE position, Moreau is available in 80% of Yahoo leagues and he’s a top-10 play this week.
DeSean Jackson: If you’re in a win-now situation and looking for a high-upside FLEX play, Jackson’s available in the vast majority of leagues and he comes with ridiculous upside due to the matchup against Washington. There’s plenty of downside, but he’s the perfect player to take a shot on.
Rex Burkhead: Is Burkhead going to be a week-winner for fantasy lineups in Week 13? No. But he is going to see plenty of volume this week, which is still worth something for desperate fantasy managers. He’s rostered in just 9% of Yahoo leagues.
5 Receiver/Cornerback Matchups to Watch
Chris Godwin/Richie Grant: Grant’s allowing .42 Fantasy Points Per Route Run (according to PFF) and an 85% catch rate this year. Godwin’s a locked-in top-10 play.
Christian Kirk/Xavier Crawford: Kirk’s been solid this season when Kyler’s been in at QB and Crawford’s allowing an 86% catch rate this year.
Keenan Allen/Mike Hilton: Hilton’s been quietly playing really good football this season and Allen could have a tough time getting open in this one.
Jakobi Meyers/Taron Johnson: Meyers has been good this year, but Johnson’s one of the best slot corners in the NFL.
Cooper Kupp/Rudy Ford: Kupp’s going to smash this week.
5 Bold Predictions For This Week
- Foster Moreau ends the week as a top-5 TE.
- Saquon Barkley finishes outside the top-20 RBs.
- Courtland Sutton finishes the week outside the top-45 WRs.
- DeSean Jackson ends the week as a top-24 WR.
- Christian Kirk ends the week as a top-24 WR.
