Fantasy Basketball Trade Chart: Week 8 (2021)

It’s Wednesday, and you know what that means. Well, maybe you don’t.

If you missed it a couple of weeks ago, I’m taking over the regular fantasy basketball trade value chart here at FantasyPros. Let’s go over some questions you may have before we dig into the chart.

Q: What changes?

A: Mainly just the person doing the chart. Oh, and I’m also doing it for 8-cat leagues because I don’t believe in 9-cat leagues.

Q: Is the format the same?

A: Well, thank you for taking the time to read instead of just skipping to the chart. I appreciate it. The format is different. I like to keep an easy-to-read chart, so I took out multiple columns of projections throughout to make it more user-friendly.

Q: Will you track the change in values?

A: Why yes, astute reader. I will. In the chart – starting this week – you’ll see the current value, previous value, and change in value. You can sort all of the columns to gauge the change in values however you see fit.

Q: How did you come up with these values?

A: Personal bias, of course. As Zak used to, I based them on the projections for the rest of the season and made some of my tweaks.

Q: How often will we get this?

A: The goal is weekly, but that could change depending on what the bosses want. I spoke to the bosses and we decided to roll this out every other week to properly gauge the change in actual value without overreacting to one or two performances over a week’s time.

Q: If I trade five players with a 10 value, will that get me Luka Doncic?

A: No, that’s not how this works. It’s a baseline to show you player values, but quantity doesn’t always equal quality. Shoot your shot.

Q: You suck, and you know nothing.

A: 1. Fair. 2. That isn’t a question. 3. All complaints can be sent to me on Twitter at @MichaelWaterloo.

OK, that’s an overview of what to expect.

I should also note that players who are out with injuries for an extended period or players like Ben Simmons or Kyrie Irving, whose futures are up in the air, have been omitted from this chart. But, if we decide to do a dynasty version of this (hint, hint), they’ll all be included. So, without further adieu, here is the Week 6 trade value chart.
