Week 11 Fantasy Football Waiver Wire Rankings

Waiver Wire Rankings powered by FantasyProsECR ™ – Expert Consensus Rankings

Q1. Who is your top waiver wire option of the week, and why?

Rhamondre Stevenson for pretty obvious reasons. Stevenson torched a strong Browns run defense for 114 total yards and two touchdowns. If Damien Harris isn’t able to recover from his concussion in time for next week’s game against the Falcons, then Stevenson will be a strong RB2 at worst. But even if Harris does return, Stevenson has shown in enough in this game (and previous ones) to warrant a bigger piece of the running back pie. Your worst-case scenario with this pickup is a flex play in Week 11, and your best-case scenario is a week-winner. He’s worth a significant FAB investment and your number one waiver-wire claim.

Last chance to get Elijah Moore alert! I understand the slow burn. He plays for the Jets. Mike White has been his quarterback. The offense is not exactly thrilling. However, the young and talented Moore has given you two WR2 finishes, a WR3 finish, and a #1 overall WR finish in PPR leagues. At 43% rostered, Moore is still incredibly available in most leagues. He goes straight from the wire to your lineup in Week 11.

Same answer as last week. Rhamondre Stevenson. Unfortunately, he’s going to cost you many more FAB dollars than he did a week ago after trampling the Browns for 100 yards and two touchdowns. Even with Damien Harris likely back from a concussion this week, Stevenson will continue to have a fantasy-relevant role in a conservative, RB-centric offense. If you’re in a waiver priority league, Stevenson is worth burning the No. 1 priority.

Q2. Which high-end waiver wire option for Week 11 was the most difficult to rank?

D’Onta Foreman. When you watch Foreman run, you can tell instantly that he could be successful if given the reins to the Tennessee backfield. And with a matchup against Houston on tap, it’s possible he performs like an RB2, as soon as this week. But Adrian Peterson continues to factor in and may be the goal-line back, which would put a hard cap on Foreman’s value. He could be one of the most worthwhile pickups of the week or continue to be someone who managers can’t start.

Michael Gallup is a known commodity. The trouble is, I’m not sure what Gallup’s role is on this Cowboys offense or where he ranks in the new pecking order. Granted, Sunday was a blowout and his first game back. I’m just not sold the consistency is there to make him more than a “need” based play, rather than a “want to start.”

Wayne Gallman. People were falling all over themselves to draft Mike Davis in August simply because they thought the 28-year-old career backup was going to have a meaty workload. The emergence of Cordarrelle Patterson obviously hurt Davis but had Davis actually performed well, there still would have been value to his role. Gallman is no star, but he’s a competent NFL running back and a better player than Mike Davis. I think a decent running back can have value as the complementary RB to Cordarrelle Patterson, and the role might be much more than complementary if Patterson misses time due to an ankle injury.

Q3. For managers renting a D/ST in Week 11, what readily available option (under 40%) should they target?

Without question, fantasy managers need to be targeting the Miami Dolphins D/ST to play against the Jets. This simply is not the same Miami defense that we had seen for most of the season. They’re getting pressure on the quarterback, causing turnovers, and limiting opponents’ point totals. And now they’ll get a mess of a Jets offense that allows the second-most fantasy points to opposing D/STs. They will be a popular choice and you may even need to burn a top waiver wire claim to get them, but it will be worth it.
– Dan Harris (@danharris80)

The Carolina Panthers D/ST are the 12 ranked fantasy D/ST on the year and that’s impressive considering how the offense has been a liability to them most of the season. The Panthers have put up double digits 2 of the last 3 games and have the Washington Football Team in Carolina. They’re the best on the available board for me.
– Joe Pisapia (@JoePisapia17)

Miami Dolphins D/ST is a middle-of-the-pack fantasy defense, and in Week 11 the Dolphins face the Jets, against whom opposing defenses are averaging 10.3 fantasy points per week, the third-highest total in the league. The Dolphins also have a pretty decent Week 12 matchup against the Panthers, so they could be a two-week solution if you’re streaming defenses.

Notable Week 11 Waiver Wire FAB Recommendations (in %)

Q4. Which Week 11 waiver wire option carries the biggest risk of being a waste of FAB dollars?

Elijah Moore. Moore needs to be added after producing for the third straight week, but he needed a garbage time Joe Flacco touchdown to have value against the Bills. Moore is exciting, but the Jets offense is inconsistent, to say the least, and adding a player who may not even become a reliable WR3 is a dicey use of your FAB dollars.
- Dan Harris (@danharris80)

Wayne Gallman out-touched Mike Davis (15 to 4), but I'm not exactly sure that means the backfield is his in Atlanta. Gallman had some moments last year filling in for Saquon Barkley, so he could be a decent pickup. Gallman could also just be in an RBBC now with Davis going forward. He's a risky addition, but at RB some of us have no choice but to roll the dice and find out.
- Joe Pisapia (@JoePisapia17)

Michael Gallup is basically just a depth piece right now. He's the best No. 3 receiver in the league, but his fantasy value is limited in a spread-the-wealth offense. He'd be hard to trust in your lineup in any given week. The "but" here is that Gallup would instantly become a top-25 receiver if either CeeDee Lamb or Amari Cooper were to go down. Gallup's implied value makes him a worthwhile stash, and he probably won't cost you much.
