Underdog Fantasy. By now, most of you know that Underdog has some incredible season-long best ball tournaments and weekly Battle Royale contests. However, they have another contest that will prove to have tremendous appeal to fantasy managers-their Pick ‘Em game. Simply choose two or more fantasy points, yardage, or reception totals, choose over or under, and lock in your prediction. Pick any 2-5 player props to parlay together, and you can win up to 20X on your entry in one night!
There is also a head-to-head Rivals contest. Pick which player between the two of them will have more of a given stat in their game; some players will be given a line handicap, indicated by the + and number below their picture.
There is a ton of value to be had here for fantasy managers as we already familiarize ourselves with important information like depth charts, injuries, yards allowed, fantasy points allowed, and more. This gives us a potential competitive advantage when it comes to identifying and tackling potential values. While more than a few totals will appeal to fantasy managers for Week 9 at Underdog, we will briefly discuss three that have more allure than most.

Marquise Brown (WR – BAL): 69.5 receiving yards
Marquise Brown has been excellent this season and has finally found the consistency that eluded him for the start of his NFL career. He has averaged 80.9 receiving yards per game on the season and has crossed the 70 receiving yard barrier in three of his last four and four of his last six contests. Brown should see some Patrick Peterson in coverage this Sunday, but Peterson has not been traveling with receivers for the most part, which means Brown should have at least more than a handful of snaps against Cameron Dantzler, a corner who, while extremely talented, is still adjusting to NFL receivers. Minnesota has allowed at least one 70 yard receiver to each of the strong offenses they have faced this season and could give up this number to Brown on just one or two grabs. Brown is a strong option to consider for Week 9 at Underdog Fantasy.
Pick: Over
Emmanuel Sanders (WR – BUF): 56.5 receiving yards
Emmanuel Sanders was blanked by the Miami Dolphins in Week 8, making him an iffy play at first glance. However, his down game came against a Miami Dolphins cornerback group that has struggled this season but is finally rounding back to health and form. Sanders hit 74 or more receiving yards in three of his four contests prior to the Miami game, hitting 54 receiving yards in the other. Sanders’ worst two outings of the season have come against Miami. In Week 9, Sanders will get one of the softest secondaries in the league outside of Shaquil Griffin. The Jaguars secondary has been lit up this season by opposing wide receivers, surrendering the fifth-most receiving yards per game. Sanders deserves strong consideration for your Week 9 pick ’em ticket at Underdog Fantasy.
Pick: Over
Brandin Cooks (WR – HOU): 68.5 receiving yards
Brandin Cooks has looked human with Davis Mills under center. He started the season with a bang and managed a monster performance in Mills’ first game, leading some to call the underrated receiver quarterback proof. The next five weeks dispelled that notion but served to remind us all of how good Cooks can be when he has just partially competent play under center. Enter Tyrod Taylor. Taylor is back from battling his hamstring injury and will start in Week 9. Cooks posted over 200 combined receiving yards in Taylor’s two starts this season and appears primed for a big game with his staring quarterback finally ready to make his return. Cooks has crossed 69 receiving yards in five of his eight contests this year, and of course, each game he failed to hit the mark was with Mills at quarterback. Cooks seems like a value for Week 9 and should make his way into at least one of your pick ’em slips at Underdog Fantasy.
