Dynasty Trade Advice – Players to Buy, Sell, and Hold: Week 11 (Fantasy Football 2021)

Let’s face it. This year has been grueling. Between injuries, Byemageddon, Covid, and just plain awful football, the 2021 season has tested all fantasy managers.

With just four weeks left in the fantasy regular season and the trade deadlines approaching, it’s time to make a move and put yourself in a better position to win your leagues.

For this weekly column, I’ll provide players you should acquire or sell to help rebuild or win your league. With all these players, I try to give you real advice and market values to help position your teams for the long run.

Miles Sanders (RB – PHI)
Running back has been the most fragile position all season, but some potential league-winners are coming off the IR as soon as this week. That includes Miles Sanders, making now the time to try to acquire him.

Without Sanders, the Eagles have learned they must run the ball to help Jalen Hurts, and they have been efficient doing just that. Jordan Howard, of all people, has gotten 41 carries. Sanders should return as Philadelphia’s lead back. If he can’t, he might be done in this league. I’m willing to take that bet if contending. While trading for Sanders poses some risk, he has a favorable schedule down the stretch. Someone traded D.J. Chark and a 2022 first-round pick — which should be a late one — for Sanders in one of my dynasty leagues.

Verdict – Buy

Dan Arnold (TE – JAC)
I’ve been a big Dan Arnold fan since he played with Arizona. He routinely won me money last season on game props and has performed well as a starter since getting acquired by the Jaguars this year.

Arnold saw a team-high seven targets in Week 10 to lead the Jaguars with five catches and 67 yards. He’s led the Jaguars in targets since joining them in Week 4 and has had at least five targets in five straight games. Arnold is the TE13 since the trade, and that’s no fluke. Jacksonville is getting him the ball, and he is producing.

Arnold is a realistic starting option this year with long-term potential in dynasty formats. If you are struggling, try to acquire him for a playoff push. His value isn’t too high, as he recently got swapped straight up for a third-round pick in one of my leagues. If you need depth, Arnold is a quality addition.

Verdict – Buy

Mac Jones (QB – NE)
This week’s social media discourse has been all about Mac Jones, who threw for 198 yards and three touchdowns in New England’s dominant Week 10 win over Cleveland. The rookie will follow up that performance with a favorable matchup against the Falcons, making him a low-end QB1 option in Week 11.

His dynasty value, on the other hand, is harder to judge. While solid this year, Jones doesn’t have the same ceiling as other quarterbacks in this draft class. His lack of rushing upside will also always hurt his fantasy production.

Jones is only a hold if you can’t get more value than how you rank him. For example, he’s my dynasty QB15. That’s where I see his ceiling and floor as the true definition of a QB2. If someone in your league values him more, capitalize on the buzz and extract value. However, if you cant get a team to budge, keep him in Superflex and two-quarterback leagues. He will have a safe weekly floor, and you can win with him as your QB2.

Verdict – Hold/Sell
