Last week’s value column was on the money. With calls like Cordarrelle Patterson, Taylor Heinicke, and Sam Darnold, hopefully, you had some of those players in your lineups. I can only hope to repeat that this week, and there are some juicy values to be had…

Quarterback
DraftKings
Trey Lance (SF) $5,700 @ARI
Lance played only half of the game in Week 4 after taking over for an injured Jimmy Garoppolo and proceeded to put up 20.38 DK points. The Cardinals have given up the fourth-most QB scramble (non-designed) yards on the season — per FTNFantasy.com. As long as Garoppolo is ruled out for Week 5, Lance is an easy decision at $5,700.

Honorable mention: Jared Goff (DET) $5,300 @ MIN
FanDuel
Trevor Lawrence (JAX) $6,500 vs. TEN
The Titans rank 25th in passing defense DVOA on the season and they just allowed Zac Wilson to have the best game of his career with nearly 300 yards passing to go along with two TDs and no interceptions.
Honorable mention: Mac Jones (NE) $6,700 @ HOU
Running Back
DraftKings
Kenneth Gainwell (PHI) $4,900 @ CAR
The snap share between Gainwell and starting running back Miles Sanders is about a 60/40 split, which has allowed Gainwell to put up some decent fantasy points, in fact, Gainwell has more total fantasy points on the season than Sanders. The Panthers still rank fairly high in DVOA both versus the pass and the run, but if Gainwell catches 4-to-6 passes for 50 or so yards, he will pay off his salary — and maybe he gets into the endzone?
Damien Harris (NE) $5,500 @ HOU
Harris’ rostership will be affected by some recency bias after negative four yards rushing last week and 14 yards rushing the week before. However, the Patriots’ two opponents in those games, the Saints and Bucs, rank third and fourth respectively in rushing defense DVOA — the Texans rank 31st. Look for the Patriots to go back to what they were doing earlier in the season when Harris had 42 total touches in Weeks one and two.
Honorable mention: J.D. McKissic (WFT) vs. NO
FanDuel
Samaje Perine (CIN) $5,600 vs. GB
At the time this was written, there was no official word on Joe Mixon‘s injury status, and Perine is only a good play if Mixon is out. The Packers rank 27th in rushing defense DVOA, and while Perine doesn’t offer any PPR upside, on FanDuel it doesn’t matter as much with the half PPR scoring.
Damien Williams (CHI) $5,800 @ LV
Unlike Mixon, we already have a timetable for Montgomery, 4-to-5 weeks. The Las Vegas defense against the run is slightly below average with a rank of 18th DVOA, and with only rookie running back Khalil Herbert behind Williams, he is very likely to get the entire workload.
Honorable mention: Tony Pollard (DAL) $5,600 vs. NYG
Wide Receiver
DraftKings
Laviska Shenault (JAX) $4,800 vs. TEN
A popular value-stack this week might end up being Trevor Lawrence/Shenault. With D.J. Chark done for the season, the targets will be spread out evenly between Marvin Jones Jr. and Shenault. Not to mention, Shenault will also touch the back out of the backfield on occasion, which raises his floor.
Randall Cobb (GB) $4,000 @ CIN
We saw last week with the absence of Marquise Valdez-Scantling, Rodgers was looking to Randall Cobb, especially in the red zone. Cobb had five catches on six targets for 69 yards and two TDs. With MVS expected to miss another week, Cobb could once again be heavily involved in the passing game.
Honorable mention: Quintez Cephus (DET) $4,300 @ MIN
FanDuel
Quintez Cephus (DET) $5,100 @ MIN
Tyrell Williams has yet to be cleared from concussion protocol, meaning Cephus will likely once again lead the wide receivers in targets and receptions. Tight end TJ Hockenson and running back D’Andre Swift will continue to be the focal point, but Cephus has proven he can be a decent volume fantasy wide receiver
Honorable mention: Laviska Shenault (JAX) $5,800 vs. TEN, A.J. Green (ARI) $5,700 vs. SF
Tight End
DraftKings
C.J. Uzomah (CIN) $3,000 vs. GB
Uzomah had a coming-out party last Thursday night with his two-touchdown performance. The Packers are 28th in DVOA versus the tight end position on the season, and while I don’t expect a repeat performance, I do think he will be used more in this offense going forward and should do enough to pay off his salary.
FanDuel
Ricky Seals-Jones (WFT) $4,900 vs. NO
With Logan Thomas out for this game, RSJ should step into a starting role. Heinicke has already shown some rapport with RSJ, throwing a touchdown to him back in Week 2 on a beautiful 19-yard strike. Seals-Jones is a decent athlete and has shown flashes of some catching ability in the past.
Honorable mention: Tyler Conklin (MIN) $5,100 vs. DET
