Friday's Starting Pitcher Strategy
Sandy Alcantara is my top pitcher on tonight's slate. However, I don't believe it's necessary to spend his sizable salary on DraftKings in cash games. Therefore, I view him as a high-upside GPP option. Instead, Ranger Suarez anchors my pitching selections in cash games. Anthony DeSclafani is my top SP2 at DraftKings and a viable bargain option in all game types at FanDuel. Finally, Steven Matz is erratic, but he has the upside to warrant GPP consideration at his medium salary.
Cash Game Recommendations:
Ranger Suarez (PHI) at MIA
Suarez has dominated from the hill since transitioning to the rotation. According to FanGraphs, in 11 starts, he's spun a 1.69 ERA, 3.45 xFIP, 3.76 SIERA, 1.09 WHIP, 24.0 K%, and 58.7 GB%. The lefty should end his 2021 campaign on a high note against the Marlins.
