Max Scherzer headlines the pitching table above. However, he's not my top cash game recommendation. Rather, he's my favorite high-ceiling GPP pick. Instead, I prefer spin down to Alex Wood in the cash contests to spend up for numerous top hitters. Once again, in the interest of saving salary cap space for top hitters, I prefer to use Miles Mikolas as my SP2 in cash games on DraftKings. Still, James Kaprielian is a high-risk, high-reward GPP SP2 alternative.
Cash Game Recommendations:
Alex Wood (SF) at NYM
Wood's not an ace by any measures. Nonetheless, he's rock-solid and has a plus matchup tonight. According to FanGraphs, he has a 4.14 ERA, 3.56 SIERA, 1.25 WHIP, and 27.2 K% in his last 10 starts totaling 54.1 innings.
