MLB Daily Fantasy Primer: Thursday (6/24)

Tonight’s main slate features eight games. The bargain pitching selections are barren, leading me to suggest spending up for the top options on the slate. Thankfully, one bargain stack stands out as extremely appealing, providing valuable salary relief to roster the top arms. That stack’s joined by a pair of pricier ones with massive scoring upside.

Thursday's Starting Pitcher Strategy

Luis Garcia is my top pitcher in all game types. The salary discrepancy between him and Walker Buehler enhances the case for using him in cash games and spending the savings on bats. At DraftKings, though, I'm pairing the duo. That's also my favorite GPP combination. Jose Berrios is a strong pivot from Buehler or potentially contrarian move bumping up to from Garcia. The thought of using Chad Kuhl makes me want to throw up in my mouth, but I'm expecting the Pirates to hang a crooked number on the scoreboard, so he has some GPP appeal as a source of salary relief with a low bar to clear to provide a positive ROI.
