We’re back to another full slate of games for Friday, as all thirty teams are in action and in the main timeslot. With such a long list of games, we have salaries for pitchers that range from the bare minimum to an extremely high price point.

Beyond that, we also have a deep player pool for hitters, where the teams I intend to stack don’t necessarily make up my core studs. On this particular slate, I found myself more inclined to lean on one or two players from a specific team, partly to protect myself from over-exposure and partly because salary restrictions forced my hand.

Friday's Starting Pitcher Strategy

I started Friday's introduction with the wide range of salaries for pitchers, and we are immediately faced with a difficult decision because of pricing. Six pitchers cost at least $10,000 on DraftKings, and almost every one has a potential argument against him. Zack Wheeler and Hyun Jin Ryu will pitch against offenses that rarely strike out. Max Scherzer, Julio Urias, and Ian Anderson will take on teams averaging at least 4.10 runs per game. It's the perfect example of risk-reward -- you'll have to pay a lot for him without the comforts generally expected from getting a player at such a premium. Personally, I will use Scherzer as my SP1 because of his strikeout potential, and a few runs won't destroy his fantasy score. Freddy Peralta -- whom FanDuel originally did not list as Milwaukee's starting pitcher -- is another great option despite the high price tag.
