• Michael King: W 0, L 0, QS 0, ER 2, K 3, BB 3

Total: W 2, L 1, QS 0, ER 13, K 25, BB 9

Not our best week here, but Gilbert and Gomber were bright spots. It’s probably time to avoid Carlos Martinez for a while after two straight terrible outings.

As a reminder, we are looking for pitchers who are rostered in less than 30 percent of Yahoo leagues. Occasionally a recommendation will exceed that threshold if they are in a particularly favorable streaming situation.

Monday, June 14

Vladimir Gutierrez (CIN) at MIL 11%

You know who has been pretty good in a tiny sample? Well, yeah, Gutierrez. He just held the Brewers to two runs in seven innings, and he gets another shot at them to kick the week off. I’m starting him.

Other option: Sam Long (SF) vs. ARI 0%

Tuesday, June 15

Tucker Davidson (ATL) vs. BOS 17%

Davidson has allowed just three earned runs in 17.2 innings this year, including two back-to-back scoreless outings. He’s on my watchlist in season-long leagues, but on a day without a ton of great streaming options, he’s the best shot for a quality outing.

Other option: Mike Minor (KC) vs. DET 30%

Wednesday, June 16

Jake Odorizzi (HOU) vs. TEX 14%

So he hasn’t been great since returning from the IL, and the hope is that he doesn’t cost Luis Garcia a rotation spot long-term, but Odorizzi does get the light-hitting Rangers this week in a winnable matchup. We just need five innings from you, Jake.

Other option: Cole Irvin (LAA) vs. OAK 26%

Thursday, June 17

Jorge López (BAL) at CLE 2%

There’s no true recommendation for this day. I’d stay away from all streaming options.

Other option: N/A

Friday, June 18

Zach Davies (CHC) vs. MIA 23%

Davies has been solid in three of his past four starts, including holding the Padres at bay. This time out, he gets the Marlins, who are still a plus-matchup, even with Jazz Chisholm and Starling Marte healthy.

Other option: Alex Cobb (LAA) vs. DET 28%

Saturday, June 19

J.T. Brubaker (PIT) vs. CLE 28%

Brubaker received little run support in his last start against the Dodgers, but after he takes on the Brewers this Sunday, he’ll line up for a start against Cleveland next week. It’s a plus matchup for him and a chance for him to get back to his early-season groove. He’s a nice buy-low right now.

Other option: Jake Arrieta (CHC) vs. MIA 23%

Sunday, June 20

Sam Long (SF) vs. PHI 0%

So Sunday games are always unpredictable because there are so many B lineups that get rolled out there. That could be good news for Long, who was pretty solid in his debut against the Rangers. There’s not a ton of great options here, but Long gives you an afternoon option if you’re in a close matchup.
