Top Betcha Props of the Day: Tuesday (4/20)

Have you heard about Betcha, one of the hottest new betting apps around? If not, I’m here to help you out. Betcha is an app that combines betting on player props with the fun of playing with friends for a totally unique experience. You can follow users and gain followers of your own, view leaderboards, and challenge friends. Best of all, you can receive up to a 0.5x boost on any wager if you and a friend play in the same competition.

You can wager on up to four props per game, and your payouts increase the more player props you choose. You have two options: over/under and matchup. For over/unders, simply pick whether a player will go over or under a stat, and for matchups, choose which player will finish with more of a certain stat. Pretty simple, right? In our third article of a recurring series, I’ll be naming my favorite props of the day.

Am I excited to get into these props? You betcha!

Timberwolves at Kings

Anthony Edwards OVER 21.5 points
Edwards has scored 22 points or more in three of his last four games and five of his last seven. On the season, Sacramento has surrendered the 10th-most points per game to opposing small forwards, and this game has the highest over/under on the slate at 237.5. There should be plenty of scoring in this one, which is why I’ll hammer the over.

De’Aaron Fox OVER 28.5 points
Just like with Edwards, I’ll take the over on Fox’s 28.5 points. Minnesota has given up the seventh-most points to opposing point guards this season, and Fox has scored at least 30 points in five of his last seven games. He’s been on a heater, and there’s no reason to believe he cools down in this friendly matchup. High-scorer? Hot streak? Poor defense? High over/under? That’s four checks. Give me the over.

Hornets at Knicks

Julius Randle OVER 26.5 points
Randle has been on a monster tear as of late, scoring better than 27 points in each of his last four games. In that span, he’s averaged 35.8 points on 48/83/45 shooting splits as Randle cements himself as the clear Most Improved Player of the 2020-21 season. Charlotte’s frontcourt is far from intimidating, and Randle should be able to blow past his points prop in this one.

Terry Rozier UNDER 23.5 points
Rozier has been cooking! He’s flirted with a triple-double in each of his last two games while scoring 61 total points. He’s a clear bet to take the over here, right? Not so fast. In those two prominent scoring efforts, Rozier was without Devonte’ Graham and faced the lackluster defenses of the Nets and Blazers. New York isn’t as friendly a matchup, and this will be a pace-down spot for Charlotte. I’ll take the early under without knowing Graham’s status, but Graham is expected back tonight. If he plays, the under is further solidified.

Nets at Pelicans

Joe Harris OVER 14.5 points
The Nets will be without Kevin Durant and James Harden tonight, leaving plenty of scoring opportunities available for Harris. New Orleans is a team that’s surrendered the ninth-most points to small forwards this season and the second-most three-pointers to small forwards. Three-point specialist Harris shouldn’t have a problem nailing some long-range shots and making it rain on his way past the 14.5-point prop line.

Eric Bledsoe UNDER 11.5 points
Bledsoe just went off for 22 points against the Knicks on Sunday, but he went 8-of-20 to get there. The only other game in which he eclipsed 11.5 points across his last six was a 13-point showing against the Kings where he went 3-of-11. In the other four games in that span, Bledsoe scored in the single digits, and he shot 34% from the field and 19% from three during those six games. He’s been ice-cold on offense, and despite the favorable matchup, his poor shooting and uncertain usage lead me to take the under.
