Fantasy basketball managers should be watching the situation in San Antonio closely. The Spurs had their game on Feb. 16 postponed because of health and safety protocols. Could they be the next team facing an extended spell on the sidelines?
Fantasy managers should cut or trade fringe options from the Spurs in head-to-head leagues. Do not be afraid to make a bold move. Now could be the perfect time to swap Dejounte Murray or Derrick White for some added value.
Speaking of trades, here are five players that fantasy managers should have their eyes on moving this week.

Here are three players to trade for during Week 9.
Devin Booker (PHO – PG/SG)
Do not look now, but the Suns are catching fire. They have won nine of their last ten, including dominating the Sixers, Magic, and Pistons. Booker missed two of those games but showed no rust in his return by dropping 24 points in a victory over the Mavericks that included nailing the game-winner.
Booker had a consensus ADP of 13 this season. He sits 55th on the Player Rater because his rebounds, assists, and free throws are down this season.
Do not expect that to continue. Booker is averaging 5.4 rebounds and 6.4 assists per over his last five games. The Suns are putting the ball in his hands more. Offer any player ranked outside the top 30 and try to steal Booker away from a manager who is not paying close attention.
Jarrett Allen (CLE – PF/C)
The Cavaliers announced on Monday that they are sitting Andre Drummond as they search for a trade and making Jarrett Allen their center of the present and future. The 22-year-old is no stranger to making a fantasy impact and should have more playing time than ever before with the news.
For his career, Allen averages 14.2 points, 11.2 rebounds, and 2.4 blocks in the 44 games, which he played over 30 minutes in his career. Allen had 13 points, 14 rebounds, and two blocks in 29 minutes on Tuesday against the Warriors on the second night of a back-to-back.
Allen had an ADP of 114, but much has changed since then. He sits 40th on the Player Rater, but that is too low. The 22-year-old could easily be a top 25 player this season. Try to trade for him at a discount and watch him blossom as the unquestioned starter in Cleveland.
Jonas Valanciunas (MEM – C)
Valanciunas is the perfect player to use the Player Rater to your advantage with. He sits 95th on the season, well below his ADP of 54. Fantasy managers not paying close attention may think the Grizzlies big man is having a down year. Instead, JV is averaging new career-highs in points, assists, and 3-pointers made. His Player Rater stock is low thanks to the postponements and missing five straight games in the health and safety protocols.
Expect Valanciunas to find his way into the top 50 this season. Fantasy managers might be able to grab him at a discount and reap the benefits down the home stretch.

Here are two players to trade away during Week 9.
Zion Williamson (NOR – PF)
Zion has taken a massive step forward in his second NBA season. He is playing five more minutes per game and setting new career-highs in eight of the nine fantasy categories. Only his 3-pointers made have dropped. Williamson is averaging 1.0 steal and 0.8 blocks, which were necessary for him to take a fantasy leap.
The name value still outranks the production, though. Zion went 23rd in ADP but sits 37th on the Player Rater. He has played in 25 of the Pelicans 26 games too. If you can trade Zion for a top 25 player, do it. He is not producing those numbers, and the injury risk remains for the 20-year-old.
Jordan Clarkson (UTH – PG/SG)
Clarkson is coming off an incredible 40-point performance against the Sixers in the marquee game on Monday night. He hit eight 3-pointers and lifted the Jazz to victory. Now is the perfect time to trade Clarkson away. He is shooting career-highs in every percentage. His points, rebounds, and steals are also up, despite playing just 26 minutes per game.
Clarkson sits 52nd on the Player Rater but will need to continue playing over his head to hold onto that spot. Expect him to finish the season closer to 75th. Trade him now for De’Aaron Fox, Jamal Murray, or Buddy Hield. All three players are behind him on the Player Rater.
