This is it for many, the fantasy football championship. As is the case every week of the NFL season, several players carry questionable injury designations into the weekend. Is Tyreek Hill Playing in Week 16?

Chiefs wide receiver Tyreek Hill is expected to play in the team’s Week 16 matchup against the Atlanta Falcons despite being listed as questionable with a hamstring injury, according to ESPN NFL insider Adam Schefter.

Fantasy Impact:

The catch here is that Schefter mentions that the Chiefs will monitor Hill and be smart with him. Fantasy managers in the playoffs or their league championship will need to rely on Hill if they made it this far, but an early Chiefs lead could result in Hill being rested in the second half of this game. Look for an official update on his status on Sunday.

What the Experts are Saying

With two weeks left in the regular season, Hill sits atop wide receivers in fantasy scoring, with a comfortable 19.8-point gap between him and Davante Adams. This is what happens when Hill gets double-digit targets like he has in six of his last eight games. And now you get a matchup with the Falcons during the fantasy finals? The Falcons have allowed the second-most PPR points per game (43.8) to wide receivers this year and it’s not just because they’ve had a tough schedule or anything. When you look at what their opponents have averaged in non-Falcons games versus what they post versus the Falcons, you’ll see a 14.5 percent increase in points, which is the second-best matchup in the league. It’s not just that, either. Hill lines up in the slot about 57 percent of the time. You know who covers the slot for the Falcons? Isaiah Oliver. There are just two cornerbacks in the league who’ve allowed more yards (767) in their coverage. You don’t need me to tell you to play Hill, who could go absolutely bananas and carry your team to a championship.
