After a big Tuesday slate, we have just six games here. That’s the perfect amount for DFS though because the player pool is plump but not oversaturated. What’s also nice is the fact that we don’t have many injury situations to monitor, with Kawhi Leonard and Jimmy Butler being the only major question marks. With all that in mind, let’s get into it!

Value Plays: Point Guard
NAME (TEAM) | OPPONENT | PRICE | MATCHUP | RISK |
Kyrie Irving (BRK) | vs. ATL | $8,900 | ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ | Low |
Dejounte Murray (SA)) | vs. LAL | $6,100 | ⭐⭐⭐ | Medium |
Tyus Jones (MEM) | at BOS | $5,200 | ⭐⭐⭐ | Medium |
- Kyrie has been brilliant so far this season and we’ll discuss his exploits in the studs section.
- Murray has been a stat-stuffing machine for the Spurs, averaging 15 points, 7.7 rebounds and 7.3 assists per game.
- Jones should start for the injured Ja Morant which makes him a great value as long as he gets the minutes we anticipate.
Shooting Guard
NAME (TEAM) | OPPONENT | PRICE | MATCHUP | RISK |
Dennis Schroder (LAL) | at SAN | $6,200 | ⭐⭐⭐⭐ | Medium |
Cam Reddish (ATL) | at BRK | $4,400 | ⭐⭐⭐⭐ | High |
Lonnie Walker (SAN) | vs. LAL | $4,400 | ⭐⭐⭐ | Medium |
- Schroder has been fantastic for the Lakers this season, averaging 33 DraftKings points per game.
- With Danilo Gallinari sidelined, Reddish continues to start. He’s played at least 24 minutes in all three games which actually matches his fantasy average.
- Walker has also been a pleasant surprise for the Spurs, averaging 26 DK points per game across 31 minutes of action.
Small Forward
NAME (TEAM) | OPPONENT | PRICE | MATCHUP | RISK |
Jayson Tatum (BOS) | vs. MEM | $8,600 | ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ | Low |
Gordon Hayward (CHA) | at DAL | $7,200 | ⭐⭐⭐⭐ | Low |
Dorian Finney-Smith (DAL) | vs. CHA | $4,500 | ⭐⭐⭐⭐ | Medium |
- Tatum is one of the best plays on the board and we’ll discuss that more later on.
- Hayward is running the show for the Hornets, averaging over 40 DK points per game.
- DFS starts whenever Kristaps Porzingis is out and his 30 minutes make him an intriguing option with his double-double potential.
Power Forward
NAME (TEAM) | OPPONENT | PRICE | MATCHUP | RISK |
Kevin Durant (BRK) | vs. ATL | $8,400 | ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ | Low |
Robert Covington (POR) | at LAC | $4,700 | ⭐⭐⭐ | Medium |
Maxi Kleber (DAL) | vs. CHA | $3,600 | ⭐⭐⭐⭐ | High |
- It’s weird seeing KD so cheap and we’ll discuss that more in the studs section.
- Covington has been terrible in his first few games with the Trail Blazers but he’s too good of a player to be sitting below $5K.
- Kleber should play 20-plus minutes with Porzingis out and that makes him one of the best values out there at just $3,600.
Center
NAME (TEAM) | OPPONENT | PRICE | MATCHUP | RISK |
Serge Ibaka (LAC) | vs. POR | $5,400 | ⭐⭐⭐⭐ | Medium |
Bismack Biyombo (CHA) | at DAL | $4,800 | ⭐⭐⭐⭐ | Medium |
Brook Lopez (MIL) | at MIA | $4,700 | ⭐⭐⭐ | Medium |
- A blowout on Sunday makes Ibaka’s numbers look worse than they actually are. He should play 30 minutes a game as the Clippers starting big and a fantasy point-per-minute producer like this is way too cheap at $5,400 in that sort of role.
- Biyombo will continue to start for Charlotte with Cody Zeller injured, making him an excellent value below $5K.
- Lopez was a $6,000 player for most of last season and it’s weird to see him this cheap.
5 Studs Worth Their Salary
- Luka Doncic, DAL ($10,700): Doncic dropped 48 DraftKings points in just 26 minutes of action in the blowout win over Los Angeles on Sunday and he’s obviously one of the best per-minute producers in the NBA. That’s bad news for a bad Charlotte defense.
- Trae Young, ATL ($9,400): Young has at least 41 DK points in all three games this season, averaging 50 fantasy points per game. Look for him to be extra motivated against the new-look Nets.
- Kyrie Irving, BRK ($8,900): Irving played a season-high 36 minutes in the most recent game and is now averaging 50 DK points per game. That should be an easy mark to hit against one of the worst defenses in the NBA.
- Jayson Tatum, BOS ($8,600): Tatum is developing into a superstar player with his 45-point average and should exploit a fast-paced Memphis team.
- Kevin Durant, BRK ($8,400): Durant is a five-figure player when he’s right and it’s just a matter of time before he returns to that. Facing a bad Hawks defense is the thing that could get him there.
5 Notable Players to Fade
- Kawhi Leonard, LAC ($9,300): Kawhi missed Tuesday’s game with a laceration in his mouth and it seems likely that he’ll sit here as well.
- C.J. McCollum, POR ($7.900): McCollum has been amazing this season but it’s weird to see him at $8K. I really don’t like the lofty price against a stingy Clippers defense too.
- John Collins, ATL ($7,100): Collins is averaging fewer than 30 DK points per game and he looks a bit lost with all of the new talent in Atlanta.
- Montrezl Harrell, LAL ($7,000): Harrell is averaging just 27 DK points per game and that’s just not enough for a $7,000 player.
- LaMarcus Aldridge, SAN ($6,300): Aldridge is off to the worst start of his career with less than 30 DK points per game and he’s impossible to trust until he gets out of the rut he’s in.
